Dont forget to subscribe for future updates! Follow me on Instagram: @4manduhh Hello! Wow two months went by fast. Here is an update on how I'm doing on my medication!
this is my second day on the medicine and I really hope it helps me like it helped you like I'm crying right now writing this I really need this to work for me
hang in there, first 3 days were the roughest but I swear it gets better. I'm almost at week 4 but I'd say the meds starting working after about a week or 2 (for me at least).
First week was hard and my insomnia was getting worst. I was given 10mg and told my doc I'm cutting it to 5mg because it was too strong and that worked for me. You'll see it starts to work after a month or 2. It takes time so just hang in there. Find a hobby you like and do something that you're happy with. Gardening works for me. Also, stay away from social media and all the negative stuff. I'm now 2 years and down to 2.5mg. Fast forward, I"m now working at one of the top companies in the world today and moving forward with my career. Try going out more but take baby steps. Wish you the best and God bless.
Elizabeth Clark Stick with it! I had awful side effects for about 3 or 4 weeks after starting. I felt different immediately, but didn't start to feel 'better' until about 5-6 weeka in. Now I feel amazing by comparison. Good luck.
Wow I just started 2.5 mg lexapro and what I'm reading in the comments to what I'm feeling now is kind of crazy to hear but I hope I feel better just like how you guys are.
@@wellhellothere8854 I stopped all medication in the summer of 2020 and focused on therapy and exercise. I never liked how any medication made me feel but I recommend finding out for yourself and try to stay off google. Everyone’s opinions will get in your head and it’ll be tough to figure things out for yourself.
It took a tremendous amount of bravery for you to get to this point. I have been contemplating taking lexapro for months, and have been too scared- but seeing how you got through your initial anxiety and are so much better for it, gives me so much hope for my own situation. I know, I can't continue to live like I'm living anymore. I have tried therapy, yoga, meditation, and while those things help- I am still very much debilitated by my constant severe general anxiety.
This is the most encouraging thing I’ve found and inspires me to stick it out until I can really see if it helps and the side effects pass. Feeling off for a while is worth it to feel way better overall in the long run.
I'm starting lexapro in the next few days. I struggle with generalized anxiety. For the most part I have methods of coping with how I feel. The reason I'm starting medication is because I get crippling anxiety on the highway. My arms, legs, and face go numb. It's horrible and I've ended up in dangerous situation when I've had to pull over in areas where there is nowhere to stop. Luckily its never caused an accident. I used to love driving on the highway, 5 years ago I was in a really bad place in my life and one day I had a panic attack in the middle of the highway. That turned into general driving anxiety which I forced myself to get over by driving every day. Unfortunately the highway anxiety is still there and I'm tired of it. I don't want to drive over an hour to get somewhere that would take me 20 mins on the highway. I'm hoping I get relief like you did. Hearing you makes me feel hopeful.
It helped me so so much. My symptoms were the same as yours. I also do not have a big appetite the only thing is that I’ve always suffered from migraines and insomnia and taking lexapro gives me bad headaches but it has saved me from certain thoughts 💭
Loralyn F. I was just prescribed lexapro this week. I have a pretty bad case of panic attacks and anxiety. For me, the worst part is the actual physical symptoms of panic attacks and anxiety, like my heart beating so hard and fast that it feels like my whole body is rocking. Hard to speak clearly bc of the feeling of a knot in my throat. Getting a really hot feeling. Does lexapro help with all of these things?
Mr. Plainview it does, i take 20 milligrams a night i also take gabapentin 600 milligrammes à day. I wasnt going anywhere before i started. I am also enjoying the things that ive always liked. Movies and reading💝💝💝
Mr. Plainview it helps with social anxiety and they helps even my mood swing. I hope you start feeling better. Gang in there. Have faith that medicine Will help. Dont be scared.💝💝💝
I’ve been taking lexapro for 2 years approx and it all started from having random panic attacks and then wondering what’s wrong with me am I crazy and all this stupid stuff….it got to a point where I could barley leave my house scared of everything, after taking lexapro I felt much better started at 10mg then went up to 20 (just to see) I felt the same so I came down to 10mg and then 5mg and recently came off totally for 10 months and recently this week I’ve been non stop freaking out for no reason (random panic) so I’m going back on starting at 5mg…..I have fought so hard to NOT take anything but anxiety is a real thing and unfortunately I’m someone who looks like will need it for a long time but my point of this story is if anyone is trying to NOT take anything because of their fear of “taking something” trust me do yourself a HUGE favor and give it a try it’s a life saver!
My doctor said that 10 mgs is a good enough dosage ,that higher dosages are usually unnecessary, especially for shorter skinnier people,I noticed in USA people take much higher dosage in general
I have seen you every where when it comes to taking Lexa! So I think you have had some experience with it? If so could you please let me know your full Journey? My doctor prescribed it to me and I have not taken it for 2 weeks since..
After I watched this video I immediately took the pill thank you so much I had huge anxiety taking this pill it took me and hour to take it!! I came across this one and I took it and im happy I did!!
So weird what you said about meat!! For a while suddenly meat kind of grossed me out, which is something I never experienced before. Aside from ice cream the only thing I wanted to eat was toast with peanut butter and cereal with almond milk. I just switch to Lexapro today. Thank you for your review!! It was very helpful!
@Kris Boy oh, you telling me to forget about the internet bullshit, but you are the one saying he is a don juan not even knowing him (but only trough the internet). Wow what an irony🤔😅
Lexapro made things worse for me at my time. Right now I am boss! Boss of my anxiety and depression. I take Prozac BTW 10mg. It's all about forcing myself to a hobby I love and good exercise. (Walks or ride bike, what I like to do) These work for me!
Hey did you quit Lexapro right away? I just took my first pill last night and my body’s literally refusing it. Headaches, nausea, blurred vision, upset stomach, you name it! I’m scared 😢
I feel antidepressants help lot of people, but u need to make therapy too and I feel hypnotherapy from an expert in treating mental disorders is really useful. Drugs help to help ease the burden of symptoms which used to keep you disabled, but beyond that I would not rely on antidepressant for long periods as there is reasearch showing that there effects reduce over time and could cause relapse in such cases
Hey , please respond as soon as you can - I look forward to hearing 1) I've been through some trauma - how long did you have to take it? 2) What were the affects - any side affects? 3) did you come off it at some point - do you know if people usually come off?
You are.... one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen.... I mean I don't know how else to say it lol. Thank you for these updates! Just finishing up my first week on Lexapro
Wow I feel overwhelmed by changing clothes and doing things during the day. I’m on 10mg lex and 150 Wellbutrin but the lex is making me soooo sleepy during the day, I can’t stay up so I sleep all day. The Wellbutrin loss of appetite goes away.
I was completely cured from anxiety depression and was leading great life until I suffer tragedy and it relapsed ...I am in bed right now completely freaked ...started esciroclopram again
I am so sorry to hear that, it does get better. I am still taking antidepressants and I haven’t had a bout of depression in a long time! Anxiety creeps in once and a while, but it’s manageable. I hope you start feeling better soon ❤️
@@4manda4llison My 20mg escitalopram really is amazing for my anxiety, depressions still there but im glad I can leave my house without shivvering in anxiety like before I started ssri meds
@@fentoonskiPWNER that’s great news! Talk to your practitioner about Wellbutrin, when lexapro wasn’t helping my depression they added that and it really changed everything. Good luck to you ❤️
@@4manda4llison Will do! is that an ssri med too? I have insomnia and these seretonin meds make me struggle to sleep. I have BPD And am starting behaviour therapy tommorow. Here in uk mentsl health care is slow and useless unless you pay for private
Any issues with hair loss due to Wellbutrin? Glad you're doing better. I'm seeing my doc next week and have to try a different med. Haven't tried Lexapro or Wellbutrin.
New issues with Wellbutrin cuz I don't take it but with Lexapro I need losing a tremendous amount of hair but it is getting better less and less every time I wash it ❤️
I think it helps me with that, everyone is different, but cognitive behavioral therapy with antidepressants is usually a good combo! Especially if you want to avoid benzodiazepines. My PTSD shows up mostly as panic attacks, and SSRIs help me with that.
@@4manda4llison I know that the lexapro is the best SSRI for least side effects because I take it since I have a sensitive stomach, but I was wondering did Wellbutrin cause you to have nausea at the beginning?
Hey it's about an hour since I've taken my first Escitalopram and hope it'll help me feel better soon too. 🤞🏼 Is it normal to feel like heart pounding? I feel like it's beating a little bit faster than usual 😕
I'm so glad to hear you have been doing well! You give me hope :). The wellbutrin you said suppresses your appetite but did it also cause nausea? If you have been taking Klonopin everyday you might want to wean off it. Might actually cause panic attack or anxiety from stopping abruptly. I have lexapro sitting and waiting for me for weeks but I been afraid to try it. I actually also have script for wellbutrin but I never went to get it filled.
I had blind faith going to a psychiatrist and trusting but lexapro gave me ED and all sexual dysfunction. That’s worse than the slight depression my family claims I had. Now I have no d*ck
James Trentham hi i noticed your comment and had to reply! ive been on laxpro for 6 months and i couldnt orgasm at all and if i did it took me 4ever!!! it was so frustrating but ive been exercising for about a month and my orgasms r back to normal! i know it sounds weird but it helped me and also i gained like 50 lbs on thus medication but dnt wana stop taking it bc it helps me...now that ive been losing weight again and working out im feeln btr about myself and also feeling back to myself
Ive been thinking of asking to add wellbutrin as I hear it can elevate positive emotions but I also research that it can increase anxiety becus it acts as norepinephrine, which is basically adrenaline, which can activate your fight and flight response. 🤔
that's so weird you say you used to have extreme fear of driving I'm 33 years old and I've never driven before my husband always tells me like Take the Wheel like if he has to do something and I will not do it I'll freak out and have a panic attack I'm still not at the point to where I can drive
Elizabeth Clark I am 42 and still have a fear of driving. Years ago I started an online group for others to talk about their own fears with people who understand. I could not believe how many people joined my group. Whether it was just fear of driving at night or over bridges or not driving at all like me. I just took my first uber today so I could see a doctor who prescribed Lexapro to me. I am very nervous to take my first dose. She also discontinued my valium prescription which is causing me even more anxiety. Sorry so long. I just wanted to share.
Pity. Think you are anxious and depressed now? Wait until the PSSD kicks-in. Watch Dr. Josef. Learn about how to taper correctly or you will likely live with regret.
I've just been listening to your post and I want nothing but the best cfor you.... I would hope though don't know that you or your doctor has Famliarised yourself with the full range of problems potentiated with the use of Klonopin... Regardless of whether the dose is 0.5 or 5.0....you say you are. Considering trying to stop them in sa couple of days just to see where your thoughts are up to... But not tomorrow because you have a busy social day..... And I understand that kids of thinking makes absolute sense... However if you look at that a little deeper and I'm sure yoo get this hence your decision you are aware that trying to cope with the social anxiety that would arise without the Klonopin would put you out of your comfort zone and if your experience is anything like mine even the thought of how you would feel causes you anxiety already..... I feel I have to be so careful with what I'm saying but your video has just left me thinking your at the start of a journey and you still Have the option of making decisions that can save you from years of untold loss and damage..... I hope for nothing more that when you try and start reducing your Klonopin... Certainly not stop cold.. I know your dose is considered low but the issue lies in what you said.. That you've been taking them every day.. And why wouldn't you I imagine. They help with your general anxiety and ease social situations giving you a degree of confidence which simply makes you feel like you ought to feel.... And even. Though you say as a side effect they make you drowsy.. I would imagine They give you a little charge a little ger up and go... You seem to be on top of things where you live.... You seem to have all that under control.... I'm just going to throw a few things out learnt from experience for no other reason than I care... Its that simple. I can see where you might be headed and I don't want you to have. to. go there and if I'm only covering ground your already well aware of forgive me my intentions are genuine and good. My concern is not with the other meds your on they seem to be helping address your issues. And like you said there is a 2 week period for them to become active in the right way in your system. But the Klonopin.... Did you have to wait 2 weeks for them to start reducing or completely stopping your social anxiety or didd you find they worked immediately... Because there a totally different class of drug which has the potential to rotally destroy your life... Take away your ability to feel.... Leaving you emotionally numb preventing you from being able to engage in any relationship and you won't find this on the leaflets. The doctors prescribing instructions makes it clear to him they shouldn't be given for more than 2 weeks after which the beginnings of addiction start... I hope you have not been taking them for longer than this and are able to slowly bring yourself off before any of the real damage begins if your doctor has been prescribing you more than this ask him to tell you what his instructions are and what his reasons were for going beyond.... Continued use of Klonopin will totally destroy who you are by pushing the real reason's for your anxiety and the only way to ever really. Free Yourself from this frustrating condition is to face imt with. The support of those you know you can trust... There is a deep seated reason for your anxiety which can never be addtessed by pushing it undet with a tablet... Please do your own research into benzodiazepines addiction the group of which Klonopin belongs to..... There is much information online..... I wish you all the best on your journey and if you have been using them for longer the strength and knowledge to find your freedom.... I acknowledge I know nothing of your circumstances... But I'm absolutely certain
I think you’d be happy to hear that I have not taken benzos in almost 3 years 🥰 I began the journey of letting myself feel my feelings instead of suppressing them. Thank you for having taken the time to write this, I’m just now seeing it, and I believe I was meant to see it today.
ok one question any effect on heart you can notice i am a homeopathy doctor and i am worried about that one patient taking this drug and he listen about QT Prolongation .Reply appreciate
