This is 4 years old so the units seem to be better now, But I just installed a similar Tesla style plug n play screen in my 08 es350 and it's been amazing, It has DSP and greatly improved both the volume and sound quality of the music, ( I love EQ's Lol ) There are a ton of settings you have to get familiar with to achieve this tho. It was so much more powerful that the stock speakers couldn't handle it so I upgraded them all with Jbl, Polk and a new Pioneer sub. I can crank it now and it sounds super clean. The bass is so powerful it rattles the whole car Lol, I'm working on sound and rattle proofing the car now. Also the newer units let you install a cell phone sim card so you are always online just like a phone, your car has its own number and everything so it can do anything your phone can you don't need to use your phone for anything if you don't want to, also has a gps antenna in case you don't use the sim card or are out of range of a cell tower.. They also have built in memory and you can hook up an external hard drive, so you can just save your video's movies and music right on the device, They range from $200 to $600 currently, I got the 4 gigs of rom 64 gis of ram version, it's pretty snappy, but if I had it to do over i would go with the 6 gig version. The newest ones also run Android 13, Have great resolution, and you can hook up any quality of back up and or forward cam you feel like spending money on. I have a Lexus GS350 2006 model I purchased this similar unit in 2021 and installed it. Everything else works except the climate controls which makes my car AC not to work. I couldn't use it just because of this main problem if anyone has ideas to fix this problem I will appreciate.
