Yes I meant to say elevate the scapula because we want to stabilise the shoulders. When we raise the arms overhead (like in down dog) the scapula elevate so retracting them in down dog doesn’t make anatomical sense.
Okay something you could try is to engage your glutes as the glute med is an external rotator, engage your quadriceps to help stabilise your knees and press through the outside edge of your feet to give you an action to focus on. These 3 things combined might help you prevent your legs from inwardly rotating.
