With that amp and that amount of trunk space I would have built a box for a single and put that 4K on one hcca 15, would be a lot deeper and project a lot further.
Damn I bet that system pounds! But I have an Impala with 2 12s and I make custom boxes and I have a box just like yours with the port on the front right part of the box but im going to make a box with the port in the middle of the box so itll be between the subs Im almost 100% sure itll be louder with the port in the middle bc my girl has the same exact car as me and her 2 10s that are wayyy less power have the port in the middle and are about 1/2 as loud as my 12s I think itll be much more efficient in the middle of the box instead of on the side so the bass can travel into the car easier but Ill let you know forsure! Box position and where u have the port aimed and located can make a much bigger difference than we all think!
so you only need 1 good batter and alt to run this? because i was interested in runnuing two of these but was worried about having to have a couple batts. and capcitors....also do you have a bandpass box and what order is it
from what i seen everything looks good. just make sure wire size to each sub is 8 gauge and wire to amp input is 1/0. max flow of power. but shits banging.
They sound good man they could be louder though. Iv had a good amount of HCCAs I had 4 in a jeep Cherokee on two HCCA 4500.1s and it was ridiculously loud lol. But a few things.. if you haven't already which I'm sure you done changed everything.. but a bigger sundown amp or Taramps bass 5k or bigger. The alt deff needs to be atleast a 320 alt. But honestly man those are slamming for sure. Lay the back seats down and it'll be even louder lol
Damn bro thats a BADASS SETUP!!!!! Im looking to upgrade my system bro, I currently have 2 12 inch Kicker L7 solo baric wired to a HiFonics Brutus Elite 3000.1D. My system is already Earthquake status as it is, but i want 2 15 inch orion hcca SOO BAD!!!!!! I think they are awesome i hear nothing but badass reviews. By looking at your setup I'm definitely going to be copying you bro lol but ima go with 2 15 inch orion hcca
@@SmoothManJ Np dude, those orions are to epic to not say anything, thanks for the jam ill check it out. Next time you're bumpin in your ride give this rebass a spin, lowest frequency is 15hz. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zPjS_NPZhQU.html
I've heard people say that the HCCA subs were loud but not clean sounding like the rockford subs (he mentioned HX2s which are amazing because I got them) but I dont believe what he said. He mentioned orion subs being more spl than SQ is that true?
Yeah. Coming from experience from listening to both all the time (I have Orion in my car and at my shop I install a lot of rockfords stuff) and I can say that Rockfords stuff is cleaner but not as loud. That’s the trade off you have to make though.
There would be no difference except if you ran them both parallel to the amp which would reduce the impedance to 0.5 ohm in effect doubling the power output of your amp but unless your amp is 0.5 stable you run the risk of damaging it. The 2 ohms typically are set up as a single sub system paralleled to 1 ohm at the amp. What amp are you running?
Great vid, love to see someone so passionate in their build regardless of the haters. I subbed. One question though, do you think your trunk allows enough airflow to fully utilize the HCCA's or do you think they're not at their full potential lol. I'd love to get some HCCA's one day but I'm a perfectionist and love efficiency haha. Either way, mad respect to the build, everyone sleeps on Camrys. My mom used to have one with JBL's from factory and people said they could hear us driving by while inside their house when we turned it up 😂😂
I appreciate it bro. But to answer your question They are deff not at their full potential. I don’t believe the trunk utilizes the full potential of those hcca’s but it’s a car I gotta work wit wat I got. But if I had a TRUCK mannnnnnnnnnnnnn you would be able to hear me from miles away but that’s another story for another day lol
You will definitely notice a difference when you add a battery. And then when you add an alternator that's when your system is really transformed and it's a whole nother ballgame at that point. I ran my system for like 2 years on just three AGM batteries but when I put a new singer alternator in. It was a completely different system at that point. I've been running that same singer alternator for the last almost 7 years so I would highly recommend mike singers products.
Fuckin smacks broski. Working on getting the alternator myself right now, orion is the goal I'm happy you got what you wanted mane 👍 Besides the bigger box coming soon this shit is slab (one of those Amps per sub would really make this special too) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Use an SPL meter on this beast yet?
You are under powering those subs. I have one skar VXf 15.. I am pushing it with a taramps 5000.1..violent and I still need a better box! You may want to look into the new sundown audio sfb 8000.1. Down4sound sells them. $650
I also have 2 orion hcca 122 12" woofers on a rockford 1200.1d mono amp, the amp keeps going into protect mode at higher volumes or when the bass hits hard, then goes out of protect within 4 seconds of it cutting out. Suggestions? I cant seem to fix the problem
I'm not getting near the flex your getting but your also using a 5000w amp pushing prolly 3000 true watts maybe more havent seen a dyno on the amp your using
Kyle Garner the dyno on the amp I use is 4900 watts at 1 ohm load if I’m not mistaken. Check your amp, and your connections when my amp was goin into protect mode on my last system it’s because my ground wire was fuckin up and next thing you know my amp burned out.
Your impedance is 0.5 ohms which most likely the amp is not stable at. Plus its way underpowered for those subs which are drawing it to max capacity and coupled with the 0.5 ohm is burning up the amp like crazy.
Why more power if I'm not mistaken those subs can handle 2500 rms each which totals at 5000 watt and the amp is rated 4500 rms 7000 peak don't need to blow the amp.
Them Orion hcca's aint playing no games. You should replace that skar with a matching Orion hcca 5k. Big Dwiz dyno-ed all those amps and the Orion hcca blew them all away.
Yea that Orion got over 9k on dyno and there like 650 or so used last I seen well worth it but I do enjoy the skars rp3500 an 4500 hella rms for good prices
