This is actually what I'm trying to figure out rn. I'm looking for the biggest baddest 18" for preferably under ~$1300 and this seems to be it. I also like the Deaf Bonce DB 4518, and the DC Audio Level 6 18, but this seems to be even better, AND it's like $200 cheaper.

@@bailey2517 upon further research the db4518, the psi platform 5, DC lvl 6, are all more efficient subs than this. The motor is over built to give the illusion of a monster sub but they take a bunch of power to get loud. I'd take a smaller 3" coil vs. this sub.

@@Penguinboy1995 I see. I think I've mistaken looking at the max RMS wattage rating as a "max volume" instead of just having a correlation to volume.gotta remember to check the sensitivity too :P . Thanks for the response!

I have been running my 8k at half ohm for months w no issues. Given, i usually dont use the whole bass knob as my subs pretty much max out, but the amp only gets a bit warm, and never gone into prot. I rise to a minimum of .98 ohms, no lower. Every enclosure and setup is different, but i have always heard that the bass lineup can pretty much always be wired to .5, and it definitely does for me.

Ya. I framed off the back of a 2005 Camry and stuck it in where the backseats used to be. It needs a better box. It’s in 4 cuft now I wanna up it and tune it to 30 hz in a bigger box. Got the good ole nendo 5500 on it with all the power upgrades

They aren't strapped it's 1 sub wired per amplifier
