Hi 👋 Thank you for sharing this. I love Ska music. I was 19 years old in 1979 when the Two Tone groups started. I like the Specials , the English Beat, Selecter, Bad Manners, and i have a cd boxed set of 2 Tone albums. I saw the movie Dance Craze in 1982. I like the Fine Young Cannibals too, and i have a double cd of their hits. One cd is of remixes. I would love to go to Coventry and visit the village. Wonderful video 👍👍👍 I've been to the village/museum many times, seen live music there,enjoyed a hearty fry up in the cafe and generally come home with a record or two. My daughter enjoys the cake shop next door 😁 I've met the proprietor and his wife....lovely friendly people as are all the folk there 👍👍👍 I've got a good collection of records by The Beat and Two-Tone & Ska etc... in general. The Beat were a fantastic band and I don't think they got the plaudits they so richly deserved. Save it for later and Too nice to talk to and probably my fave tunes by them. I've got an original copy of the Dance Craze LP,had it since way back when but it was missing the poster that came with it. I recently purchased the new deluxe version which thankfully does have the poster !!! The Dance Craze movie was also released on dvd for the very first time recently,which I'll pick up some time.....I still have an old VHS copy of it. Glad you enjoyed your visit to the village 👍👍👍
Fantastic you've visited the 2-Tone Village so often. I'd like to go again sometime as well as climbing the Old Coventry Cathedral Tower that survived the Blitz. The Dance Craze dvd is also on my "want" list. Thanks for watching and sharing your 2-Tone /SKA experience.
Nice video. I've not been to Coventry before even though it is less than two hours away from Cardiff. My favourite Ska record has to be The Height Of Bad Manners by Bad Manners. It is a greatest hits compilation but I love it because it is one of those records that has hit after hit after hit. I get almost addicted to it when I play it.
What a great video. The Primitives were one of my first loves & that album ‘Lovey’ is really underrated & can still be picked up very cheap. Two Tone had such an enormous impact on British culture, & me, it certainly shaped a lot of my philosophies of life even at the age of 8/9 which I still hold.

Thank you for this awesome video I saw the Specials pre Covid they were amazing to say the least always one of my favorite Ska bands I recently saw General Public again I would absolutely love to go to That museum very Kool you gave us a perfect sneak peek the Ska beer super kool too as well as the vinyl you have

hello rm, looks like a fun time at coventry music museum! i do enjoy ska and reggae music and i do remember the specials and madness and 2 tone records from back in the 80s. these groups had some really nice tunes and i do have a specials lp and madness lp that i got years ago. coventry looks like a cool little town, glad you had a good time! thanks for sharing another interesting video, take care

I finally saw The Beat in 2015..In NY. Not the same... sans Ranking Roger (RIP) It was at a Wine Bar...I would've preferred the spit n sawdust of late 70s/early 80s Coventry tbh. I found it a bit too cabaret like. Having fulfilled a bucket list wish, I still was decidedly underwhelmed and left early... Hey.. .them's the breaks..
