Ya good call, alot of my old videos have that same problem. I am thinking of redoing them with better audio quality and lower music so they are easier to understand.
Hi! Ah good idea! to add different hand positions all you need to do is create a new drawing substitution on the hand layer. People don't usually detach the fingers from the hand but if you need your hand to be holding a prop you can draw your fingers on the overlay layers.... here is the node setup for that: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mbUOjnTpUBA.html I am still working on a body turn tutorial but here is one turning a cutout rig head, and the principles are basically the same: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ORz1-JmsJXE.html I hope his helps! Also check out the channel ZEBIRDBRAIN she also covers hands in more detail!
@@pavelsakhawat ah yes I had losts of problems with slow software. If you google "toonboom system requirements" it will give you the exact specifications to run toonboom properly. I just bought a laptop that met all those and everything has been working fine
@@fabio_gioffre not sure, I asked ToonBoom about it and they still seem to be supporting it, but it really doesn't work. I like your method here though keeping two files open at the same time, I only just relaised you can do that in ToonBoom :)
@@jbishop72 ya i remember it was soo frustrating haha. And ya it doesnt always work especially if one rig has been modified, but it is usually good enough
Yeah it is just one of the frustrating parts of ToonBoom really, these workarounds work I guess but they really should improve the whole templating and reusing of things in terms of ease of use and clunkiness. I ended up renewing my subscription today to take advantage of Black Friday pricing, but I have asked ToonBoom what the roadmap is for next version. It seems like a long time since a new release, so I am hopeful that they have some major improvements and some radical features to speed things up and make things easier and overall. Too much competition from the likes of Moho and now Dreams for them to rest on their laurels. I still love TB but I want it better.😊
@@jbishop72 Ya that is such a good point, there are alot of things that could be improved and streamlined. I really hope that even though they are an established company they still try and take some risks to innovate their product!
Question, is this the same with reusing a file and changing its hair or clothes and saving it as a new file? cause i have been getting errors and i read somewhere that it cant find something and its link to a parent file or something :(
Hi! So ya this method is not for that it's only for reusing the same characters. Are u trying to create variations of the same character or a completely new character?
@@fabio_gioffre thank you so much for the fast reply, its a new character but they are very similar in build T_T im going crazy with all these errors and losing drawing T_T
@@AmiaNemuru ya so I think what you have to do is press "save as" to save a completely different toonboom File. and then you may have to manually redraw some pieces and recolour each piece so the palettes are seperate. Try that and let me know how it goes
