Use cerakote for rougher surfaces. No streaking. It lasts forever. Does not work well on slick surfaces. You get streaking.

I wonder if two coats of cerakote would help on the smother surfaces would get rid of the streak problem?

you could just do two passes with the cerakote wipe and then buff it out for a smoother appearance. it won't be as shiny but will still restore the faded color.
