I just bought a few helmets to recondition & custom paint for decoration. Your video is amazing and super helpful!! Where did you get the custom Utah State decals made? How much did you spend?
Hey, thanks, and I'm glad you found this helpful. Check the video description to the links for the custom Utah State decals. The side decals (3M 20 mil) were purchased from one seller, while the front/ rear bumpers stickers had to be custom made - I reached out to a second seller who makes custom helmet stickers. IF you can find someone who can make 3M 20 mil decals, those would be preferred. The bumpers are literally stickers, and don't adhere very well to rubber (let alone uneven rubber after taking a dremel to the Riddell branding), so even though I linked the ebay seller, I would not purchase those bumper stickers a second time if I were to do it again. It's just that it's hard to find Utah State U 3M helmet bumpers, so I had to go the custom route. Hope that makes sense.
wtf this is fuckin scam, $300 labor for rear diff is this a joke it take 2 minutes to do it, $550 for spark plug labour and every part you mentioned is more than double the price online. I am never ever taking mine to a dealership, honestly just do it yourself it's so easy to work on this car.
Bless your heart! I unfortunately live at the end of a primitive trail where my FJ gets to show it's off-road chops regularly. That said, I dig everything you've done here.
I think the root of the problem was an increase in water, and when the temperature increased, it overflowed out of the bottle. The solution is not to fill the water above the limit, which is the upper line under the letter F
Thr squishy sound you hear is the brake master cylinder leaking internally and not the normal sound of pressurised brake fluid . The accumulator is suppossed to hold pressure for a couple more brakes pushes. It is not suppossed to get activated during all pedal pushes. The comforting fact is that it takes a lot driving, usually years until the master cylinder seals completely gives up and the dashboard abs warning lights with the beep noise comes up. Following this the brake accumulator will start working even when the car is idling until the motor burns itself up. Let me say this again, the squishy sound is not normal. Its your master cylinder slowly giving up. There are master cylinder rebuild kits available but if the rebuild is not done when you notice the early signs, even a rebuild cannot save the master cylinder and will require a replacement.
Hi there, I have just installed a roof LED Light Bar but wish to change the switch to an OEM. The issue is the original switch wire that comes with the harness has only 2 wires. I'm so confused as all videos show 3 wires, can this be done still??. Also this is my second Bar can this run separately or they both need to work together? Thanks
i think your right I do more highway driving in my SR5 4runner & they are great. I got the 10ply E ones , had um on some sand, dirt roads, rain , they're good tires ,, their not rock climbers or mudder's for aggressive off roading but an extra MPG or 2 from not having some KO2's is worth it to me. 16 city & 22 highway. the highway is where they shine at
so 3 years later, any issues come up? I have both the squishy sound and motor sound. I've had mine for 4 months and have noticed the motor sound just today. It happens exactly as you've demonstrated- every other depression of the pedal. But I've noticed mine when my engine was on. I noticed it first as I was parking. I put it in park and pressed the brake pedal a few times and that's when I noticed the pattern. Is your doing that only while the engine off? Or both? Thank you!
It does it both while the engine is on and off (it's just less obvious when the engine is on because it's so loud). No issue 3 years later (everything you see in the video is normal)
I don't get it, why do you have to open the rear door from the inside? It does look factory, nice job, but You are walking around to the outside to open the door anyway.
No different than having a door handle to open up from the inside. Some people like to camp in their FJs, and the inside door latch just makes it more convenient.
This is strictly a way to deliver electricity. Carplay requires a USB device that can transfer data to your stereo head unit - in which case you'll need to find a USB input into that. You can purchase some aftermarket solutions to help with that.
The replica helmets are slightly smaller than the real ones. They also fit into specific holes in the real helmets, so you will likely not be able to fit them correctly. You can find them used on eBay though, and give it your best shot.
Smart family conscious consumer. I often wonder what could be the thinking behind all of these vehicles looking like cartoons SPEEDING down the roadways. Nothing good to become of it. Stay smart!
Thanks for flagging - I think they've upgraded them to USB-C now, so the previous link is outdated. I've updated the links now so that you can find some of the newer ones, like this one: amzn.to/3wA4qXE
I bought Wisconsin collector plates for a 3000GT, $200 plus a $75 registration (one time) fee. Since then I’ve spent all of 0$ from 2017-2024 to drive my car. The car cannot be driven in the month of January but it’s winter here anyway and it’s a sports car so it’s in storage. Commifornia truly has to be one of the worst states to be a resident of. I am sure it’s awesome to visit but actually residing there sounds horrible.
I am very late to this party, but great RU-vid! Does the door lock have to be in the unlocked position for this latch to work? My suspicion is yes, since it works in conjunction with the door latch outside, but just thought I would ask. Thank you again. Cheers!
You are right. the door latch must be unlocked in order to operate the mod. I highly recommend adding the rear-window release mod alongside the door latch mod, which will enable you to lock/unlock the door from the inside via a button: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5AVgDLsJHuw.htmlfeature=shared

You're right. I can see that the URL doesn't work anymore. I actually was able to make my order through DMing them on Instagram. Give it a shot if you have an Instagram account: @steeluniqueshop
I have two of the Chicco kidfit 2-in-1. I have 2 kids, but occasionally add a 3rd (forward-facing) seat in there for my nephew, and I can fit 3 in there. When my kids were younger (rear-facing), we'd take the RAV4, which was easier with 4 normal doors. I made a short video about car seats in the FJ here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UY-0GOlRcvs.htmlfeature=shared
About the same as my previous set of tires (Kumho AT51), which was around 18 mpg or so. Given the FJ's 19 gallon tank, and the fact that the light comes on with about 4 gallons remaining till empty (15 gallons used), I divide 270 (which is about the most I can squeeze out before the light comes on) by 15 gallons, giving me 18.
Florida in 2024: Brand new Toyota 4Runner: $59 a year. Cost is by WEIGHT not by VALUE. God bless FLORIDA. (And no SMOG test and no vehicle inspections.) Have a nice day.
