Thanks for the long term review video. This is exactly what I needed to see as I recently picked one up just like yours. Got a crazy deal so I had to as I was eyeballing this for the last couple of months. I'll be honest with you that I was set on getting the Ioniq 5 limited AWD for the longest time yet I wasn't willing to get until it had a rear wiper on it which it does have one on the 5N and supposedly on all 2025 when they revise it. I wasn't a fan of the interior too even tho I know it's bigger on the inside than the EV6. With the EV6 I liked it inside and out minus the backend tho. I didn't like it in pics but when I saw it in person I still wasn't a fan of it. Years later or several months ago I revisited this but finally spent some time with the GT. I was starting to the like the rear now which was the missing piece to me making up my mind on it. I saw the GT prior to this but it was in that yacht blue color which I wasn't a fan of. I've seen the white one only online and I thought it was pretty nice each time I saw it. When I saw it in person walker this year tho I knew I had to get it even with the 5N just around the corner. Honestly the 5N isn't for me. I'm not planning to track my car as I was just wanting a nice fast street car. I wanted that opening sunroof as well which was a requirement for me and the 5N in the US doesn't even have a pano roof which I'm not a fan of as it was a fixed one. It was going to have an MSRP of $70K too before any dealer markups which I know for a fact it would have. So $80K or $50K. It was a no brainer to get the GT instead. Yes I only got my car for $50K which I'm glad that I waited for. I didn't need this car a year ago but now I wanted an EV for the first time. I don't think I'm gonna go back to ICE cars hehe. Maybe in a few years I will probably pick up a manual V6 for some fun but right now I'm really enjoying everything so far. Thanks for letting me know about the fuses. 😊 I don't mind the outter sound but I don't like the beeping when going reverse. I wish I could just turn that off only. Not sure if pulling the fuse will stop that tho. I got a full PPF done on it already. I'm gonna do tint in a few months. I'm waiting for it to get hotter. I'm planning to do it all the way around as the back isn't dark enough. I want the windshield to be darker as well. I'm planning to do a couple of mods for it like a full set of OEM painted gloss black emblems. I wanted the OEM mats like what you have but they don't cover enough as I would want. I thought the OEM front mats didn't fit the GT trim but I guess it does. Gonna put on some OEM splash guards as well. Probably will put on a front lip as well. Some black overlays as well. You know OEM plus that's all. Nothing too crazy but I want to swap out the rear to make them sequential. Not sure why the NA marker got the cheap stuff smh. We want active headlights too like you mentioned. What a shame imo. I'm wanting to see is they will make a fog light kit as well. Maybe to replace that gloss bakxm area in the bumper. Kia should've just gave us regular projectors at least if they couldn't provide us with the international one which are sick. My bad on the long post. I just thought your video was awesome and I wanted to share my experiences as well.
Had my Niro EV 2020 for 25k and 3 years and not a single issue all I ever needed was tire rotations and wind shield washer fluid, just got my EV6 Wind long range AWD blk on blk 2024 and I'm going to expect it to do even better. After Years of cars and my last 3 being BMW's, these new KIA's are great and I don't miss doing my oil at all lol
I get the same range in Australia, upwards of 400kms (approx 250Mi). Apparently Kia were pretty conservative with the range estimates assuming most drivers will discharge the battery using a few different driving modes. It's basically an average of some normal driving a a few squirts here and there in GT / Sport. Funny the tires you went for, the Kia come standard in Australia with pilot sport Michelins, yes they hook up really well. Good video and review, I love this car Kia has come a really long way. Gotta say it really does look nice in that white but I couldn't help but buy the Moonscape mat grey.
I’ve just got a GT here in the UK and absolutely love it, I’ve bought a wireless dongle for Apple Car Play which works seemingly for £18. Great review and a great car! 😎
Hi thank you for review. I kinda fell in love with it the third time I drove it, it grew on me. I've been hesitant to buy because I didn't know how it would hold up over time, but this makes me more confident to buy it.
@@AvalancheCleo Very fun! Did you end up going ahead with your purchase, and if so, how's that been going for you? I'm hovering over a few used and ex-demo GT-Line options in my local market, but also weighing up holding off for 6-12 months and getting the facelift once it lands.
