Short, concise, and content-rich reviews. Ever wish there were less talking and more time spent exploring actual product? Tired of watching 20 minutes of video for a 3 second glimpse through an optic, or a flashlight/weapon-light review in broad daylight that focuses more on the box it arrived in than the beam? This channel is for you! I do my very best to answer the questions people may have about the actual function of a product while also attempting to provide data-rich commentary on the more technical side.
I had the the opportunity to look through a nx8 a few months ago and I was not impressed. The vudu has a much flatter image that is sharper and overall just cleaner edge to edge IMO. The nx8 has a prominent fish bowling effect at low power. Still a good scope but for the price I think their are better options.
It does fish bowl, but the bright illumination plus being very nearly a real and true 1x make it awesome on 1x, dynamically. I prefer it to the atacr for those reasons on 1x. To me, where the nx8 functionally compromises is light transmission and depth of field at 6-8x.
If you adjust the diopter properly it will flatten out the 1x a bit. I still think it is a great option if you are looking for a small, lightweight LPVO.
@@shootinbruin3614 Yes, they are performed by a gentleman who uses "Mooch" as an online handle, and primarily does work within the vape community. His testing data is superlative. This is a link to get you started: www.e-cigarette-forum.com/blog/blog/mooch.256958/
@@UnobtaniumsQuickReviews Nice! Mooch brought me to the 20S a few years back when I was actively researching batteries. I stopped following him as much since buying my batteries, but I learned a lot from him before making my purchase. I binged his and your RU-vid channels when I first got into this. Thanks man! Appreciate you taking the time to reply. P.S. I emailed Modlite a few years back, and was told that their lights aren't direct drive and therefore don't benefit from cells rated for higher current than the ones that come with the lights. Cloud (at least at the time) said their lights can see increases in output with batteries up to 30A. Just my little contribution in case you didn't know already. Thanks again!
Hi thank you for review. I kinda fell in love with it the third time I drove it, it grew on me. I've been hesitant to buy because I didn't know how it would hold up over time, but this makes me more confident to buy it.
Had my Niro EV 2020 for 25k and 3 years and not a single issue all I ever needed was tire rotations and wind shield washer fluid, just got my EV6 Wind long range AWD blk on blk 2024 and I'm going to expect it to do even better. After Years of cars and my last 3 being BMW's, these new KIA's are great and I don't miss doing my oil at all lol
@@UnobtaniumsQuickReviews that’s probably what I’ll do. I recently purchased an OWL secondhand and I like to replace all that kind of stuff when I get things used. Their website replacement glass kit is out of stock currently. Thanks for the reply!
Not sure if you respond to old videos but do you know if the Rein is compatible with the Surefire articulating Mlok mount? I can’t find anything concrete on that
Iv been looking for the exact information for a week now and im so glad to finally come across your video! If you had the title of this video with ‘key remote not responding’ I guess more people will come across this video to help them. Only reason I came across it is because instead of searching ‘Key not working’ or something similar, I searched T-Cam which I’m sure a lot of people won’t know the name of the shark fin! Anyway thx man! This helped me out massively! Iv been going crazy for over a week now. Thank you
Good info. I still go back to having an etched reticle in the lpvo. I know, I’ve heard it and have gone round n round with friends. “But red dot this”. “Red dots don’t go down”.. ok. It’s just my personal take. But, good comparison
Another great comparison video. It's kinda like the REIN is 2 lights in 1. Want more power? Run rechargeable. Ok with less output? Run CR123's. I'm a fan of Cloud lights. Thanks for sharing.
I think it is fair to run it on the 18350 because you're doing the best of what one light has to offer compared to the best of the other light has to offer
I like how compact the NX8 is. It would be sick with a larger exit pupil, but I don't find it too problematic. Mated to a 12" Grendel, it's a great combo. I have the Razor Gen III 1-10x, which is another great scope in this class. Looking forward to getting the Vortex AMG 1-10.
Damn $0.64kWh is super expensive plus taxes too. Yes this is just like gas but with the longer wait times. They need to make charging on the road a lot cheaper like half of that price and taxes as well. EA sure are greedy or the city and state you're living in.
I also use Francis energy. Charges by the minute. I go 20 to 90 on 8 bucks. But yes, the allure of EV is mainly for home charging and or performance attribute.
I just picked up a GT as well. So would you say the AWD system is better than the RDX you used to have? Assuming it had SH-AWD that is. I saw one of your other video 😊
It had SHAWD. I think the RDX SHAWD was better in that it could torque vector. This cannot. That said, the dual electric motor power delivery makes this ev6 gt better in the snow and ice, in my opinion. For performance, its hard to compare as the ev6gt is so much more powerful, etc, but the sh AWD really shuffled the torque around with true vectoring.
@@UnobtaniumsQuickReviews yeah I'm a big fan of SH-AWD. Had a couple of Acuras with it in the past. I was considering the new ZDX but I'm gonna wait for a true Acura instead.
Thanks for the long term review video. This is exactly what I needed to see as I recently picked one up just like yours. Got a crazy deal so I had to as I was eyeballing this for the last couple of months. I'll be honest with you that I was set on getting the Ioniq 5 limited AWD for the longest time yet I wasn't willing to get until it had a rear wiper on it which it does have one on the 5N and supposedly on all 2025 when they revise it. I wasn't a fan of the interior too even tho I know it's bigger on the inside than the EV6. With the EV6 I liked it inside and out minus the backend tho. I didn't like it in pics but when I saw it in person I still wasn't a fan of it. Years later or several months ago I revisited this but finally spent some time with the GT. I was starting to the like the rear now which was the missing piece to me making up my mind on it. I saw the GT prior to this but it was in that yacht blue color which I wasn't a fan of. I've seen the white one only online and I thought it was pretty nice each time I saw it. When I saw it in person walker this year tho I knew I had to get it even with the 5N just around the corner. Honestly the 5N isn't for me. I'm not planning to track my car as I was just wanting a nice fast street car. I wanted that opening sunroof as well which was a requirement for me and the 5N in the US doesn't even have a pano roof which I'm not a fan of as it was a fixed one. It was going to have an MSRP of $70K too before any dealer markups which I know for a fact it would have. So $80K or $50K. It was a no brainer to get the GT instead. Yes I only got my car for $50K which I'm glad that I waited for. I didn't need this car a year ago but now I wanted an EV for the first time. I don't think I'm gonna go back to ICE cars hehe. Maybe in a few years I will probably pick up a manual V6 for some fun but right now I'm really enjoying everything so far. Thanks for letting me know about the fuses. 😊 I don't mind the outter sound but I don't like the beeping when going reverse. I wish I could just turn that off only. Not sure if pulling the fuse will stop that tho. I got a full PPF done on it already. I'm gonna do tint in a few months. I'm waiting for it to get hotter. I'm planning to do it all the way around as the back isn't dark enough. I want the windshield to be darker as well. I'm planning to do a couple of mods for it like a full set of OEM painted gloss black emblems. I wanted the OEM mats like what you have but they don't cover enough as I would want. I thought the OEM front mats didn't fit the GT trim but I guess it does. Gonna put on some OEM splash guards as well. Probably will put on a front lip as well. Some black overlays as well. You know OEM plus that's all. Nothing too crazy but I want to swap out the rear to make them sequential. Not sure why the NA marker got the cheap stuff smh. We want active headlights too like you mentioned. What a shame imo. I'm wanting to see is they will make a fog light kit as well. Maybe to replace that gloss bakxm area in the bumper. Kia should've just gave us regular projectors at least if they couldn't provide us with the international one which are sick. My bad on the long post. I just thought your video was awesome and I wanted to share my experiences as well.
I get the same range in Australia, upwards of 400kms (approx 250Mi). Apparently Kia were pretty conservative with the range estimates assuming most drivers will discharge the battery using a few different driving modes. It's basically an average of some normal driving a a few squirts here and there in GT / Sport. Funny the tires you went for, the Kia come standard in Australia with pilot sport Michelins, yes they hook up really well. Good video and review, I love this car Kia has come a really long way. Gotta say it really does look nice in that white but I couldn't help but buy the Moonscape mat grey.
Appreciate the update. I got into batteries almost 5 years ago when I bought my first Modlite and read all the info on their website. Discovered your channel shortly after that. At this point I feel like your batteries and I are growing old together hahaha
Time since last charge is 2 years, 7 months from June '21, to now. Not that 10 months is a big deal in the grand scheme of your demonstration, but I wanted to note it, regardless. After seeing your video about charging these, I broke open an old Milwaukee 5.0 amp hour battery, that wouldn't last long in the setting I use them in, and charged them up and they've been sitting a year. I wanted to test those and see if they'd still be good candidates for backup batteries for lights, etc. Edit: Your test and conclusion proves, I should have no issues. Thanks for testing and sharing your experiences. Take care.
@@UnobtaniumsQuickReviews I am as well. 20, or more years is a long time, even if they weren't abused. My Milwaukee batteries are 11 years old and when you mentioned how much abuse your laptop batteries have taken, I had to try mine. I would run my tools so hard, they shut down (thermal protection), but they still get pretty dang hot. They were run hard for 5 years, and then sat for 5 years with barely any charge, before I pulled them apart. After charging, they all measured 4.15V-4.17V. We'll see what mine measure in another year or so. It's nice that there's a lot of battery cross compatibility, between electronics.
