If you have a kindle you can get the pumpkin spice cafe for 99 cents!!I’m currently reading it. I don’t think you have to read them in order the first one just introduces all the characters.

I recently read a series of interconnected standalones. The mmc in the last book had the same name as my brother, so I put off the last book for so long - I honestly wasn’t sure if I was ever going to read it. Eventually I did read it and it was by far my favorite book in the series and the name thing really wasn’t bad. The character in the book becomes his own person in your head, so I didn’t get the ick at all. So take this as your sign to read the book!!

I will say that SJM recommends reading Assassin's Blade after Heir of Fire, so maybe that's why you're having a hard time getting into it? I haven't read them yet, hoping to start soon though!

the ninth house was one of top reads of 2023 it took me a few chapters to understand the concept of the book but it was incredible

I read an Ali hazelwood book with the same name as my brother and I couldn’t do it. I forget which book it is but it’s the one with Liam. I think it was a short story so it wasn’t like too bad but the spicy scenes were disgusting for me. lol

Oh god no I couldn’t do any spicy books with my brothers name I would cry, luckily an ember in the ashes is young adult so I’m hoping it’s not too bad🥲
