Vols fan here-we almost blew it but a win against Florida has been rare so I’ll take it but we have got to fix that defense. Holy cow. Now to the gator fans saying “you’re 2-18 against us” it’s hilarious y’all bring up the past when as an overall program, UT is vastly ahead of UF in winning but I guess we can’t bring that up? Don’t be hypocrites. You had the upper hand lately in beating down and bad UT teams and honestly got lucky several times and ALMOST got lucky AGAIN but it finally went our way. If we can’t bring up our history of winning tradition, then you can’t bring up your history of beating down UT teams. UT has been owned by a lot of sec teams the last decade and a half in our down period, it’s not exactly something to brag about. But I guess keep pretending a football was invented in the 90’s. I’ll still never understand why Florida went for 2 when the score would’ve been 38-28, not 38-27/29 (with the 2 points). There was no benefit to go for 2 there as it still would’ve been been a two-score game. Had we kicked the XP, when we recovered the onside kick, all we would’ve needed was a FG to tie it (38-35). Really stupid, odd decision by Florida.
