That bridal bowl is just lovely. Love the colors. Victorian has always been my favorite era. I collect vintage/antique Victorian lamps. All purchased over the years at thrift stores....while I also have some beautiful pieces of Fenton I have never seen a full size pitcher. That one is beautiful. Thanks for all the great knowledge..

I used to sell a lot of vintage American pottery on eBay. I am starting to sell again. I am amazed at the decline in values.

It's finally seeming to turn around. Pottery is something that fell from favor for awhile, in part because eBay made clear that pieces people thought were really hard to find were more available in other places

Thanks for the haul upload and always great history and info... I was fascinated by your association with the Pilgrim Glass Company... I learned something new about Pilgrim Glass that Stan Weitman did not share in his Crackle Glass ID books. He just said that not all Pilgrim glass will show the Strawberry Pontil...But will show a Pontil though... I always would ID Pilgrim Glass by their trademark Strawberry/bumpy Pontil...But then I would find others without it...Now I know the dates better. Thanks, George!👍 I’m left handed and I collect tons of Pilgrim lefty pitchers and Crackle Glass...Pilgrim Glass in particular... Recently I’ve heard that Pilgrim Glass would polish down their Pontils and inscribe/etch a P. And Stan never mention that in his books. I’ve never heard of that one before...Have you???

How cool! I do know about the P in pontil mark, we convinced them to do that around 1990 when we opened the Pilgrim Glass factory outlet store for them in Centralia, Washington! Their owner, Alfred Knobler, was selling signed artist artware from his store but not marking pieces in a permanent manner that collectors like ours wanted (we knew this from seeing Fenton marked pieces outsell Pilgrim).

Polar Bear was Coke's trade mark, Pilgrim glass from Cape Cod was where I purchased mine, a few each summer until I had many cracked glass bottles small enough to line my kitchen window casings, and I added more window shelves because the colors looked fantastic with the morning sun shining through. mostly 1970s. my daughter is a lefty.

Millefiori translates to thousand flowers. The individual rods are arranged to look like flower blossoms. Beswick is pronounced without the w. Bes-ick, unless, of course, you are from the Mid-west of the United States. For an area supposedly void of a dialect, you guys pronounce all of the letters in a word, silent or not. "Queue" must really tie your tongue. In interior design, Imari colors are as dead as the body in Sherman's Tomb. This means that it's time to buy rugs and porcelain. Antique rugs are being chemically bleached and over-dyed in tints, tones and shades of gray and a few other pastel colors.

Hello, Daniel! Yes to all that. I do suffer from Midwestern dialect thanks to my mother's side. If you can store original tribal patterned rugs safely while awaiting their rediscovery as 20th century originals, they'll be worth something again someday I believe

@@TheAntiqueNomad The rug market was messed up back in the 80s with the dissolution of the Soviet Union. From the last czar, all the Southern countries made these rugs. Under the USSR, there was no trade, but these rugs were in continual production and put into storage, creating new old stock until the 80s. Now, rugs are still being made, so it is possible to have antique new rugs along side of the new, new ones. The prices are all over the board.

So, I found 9 Georges Briard tall glasses...They are not signed. But I am sure they are a G.B design Pear & Apple - Blue Pageant? w/ the 22K gold detail (70's?). Unfortunately, someone didn't now what they had... some of they gold has started coming off (most likely put in a dishwasher). Do they still have any value?
