20 MIN KNEE FRIENDLY LEG WORKOUT with Dumbbells | NO JUMPING

20 min knee friendly LEG WORKOUT targeting the areas surrounding the knee: hamstrings, glutes, quads and calves.
This 20 minute leg workout has no squats or lunges so will be great for many who for different reasons, do not perform these movements however it is still your responsibility to listen to your body. Only lower/lift/hold etc to where you can and not put stress on knees.
You will need your mat, a towel/ball to place between knees, a wall and a pair of dumbbells for the Romanian Deadlifts.
The timer will be on for 50 seconds of work, followed immediately by either holds or pulses of the same movement!!
Towards the end, the wall sits are for 1 minute duration whilst the Romanian deadlifts are for 50 seconds each with 10 seconds rest in between.

There will be tips on the screen for some exercises. This is a slower paced workout:
* Keep the leg straight during the leg lifts, tension in the quads and really squeeze glutes at top. Flex the foot as apposed to point.
* During the donkey locks, aim for HEEL to ceiling, even in the pulses!!!
* During the side lying leg lift, try to keep leg straight at rising perpendicular to the torso.
* Take the RDLs slow... aim to feel that stretch in the hamstrings and remember not to aim for floor by letting shoulder blades separate... keep those squeezed together!
* The wall sit, as I do in this workout, is performed not as far down as typical wall sit to show that you don’t need to go all the way down if this is uncomfortable. Of course lower completely to 90° if you can and no stress on knees!
I hope you enjoy this workout and really focus on the isolating movements to gain the most out of each rep!

Hello everyone! I just want to apologise as I’ve been meaning to do this workout for a while and I know many have requested a workout that involves no lunges and squats so I am so happy to finally do this! The first 15 minutes is basically no break but please don’t rush to get into position! During these 15 minutes every exercise is followed immediately by a pulse or hold of that exercise (same leg if it is single leg work!). The wall sits are 1 minute each with a break second rest before going to toes! I only lower slightly down on wall sit as apposed to 90° at knee to show you can still work the quads without coming all way down if strain on knees. I hope you all enjoy this low impact short workout! 💓

This was an amazing workout Caroline! I had a hard time with the single leg hamstring lifts but I'm noticing my glute muscles activating more and really feeling the burn 🔥 thank you!

@@snigja I was privileged to start when it was launched on September 21st and completed on schedule last Sunday. I love the structure and especially the new challenges with each day. I am on second round of EPIC plus fitting in these new mini sessions she is posting during December as well some other sort work out from her archive. I am using heavier weights or doing more reps than the last time I did it ten weeks ago.

Aww thank you so much! I'll definitely be careful. I think the discomfort might have something to do with my love for basketball and jump rope 🤭. I've always loved high intensity sports, but I have learned to take things slow. I love that your videos have gotten me into weightlifting. Hi! I am 15 and my knees sometimes get really sore when I do squats, I really love this workout and would love more low impact workouts with no or little equipment! Thanks for these great, challenging workouts that for a change don't focus on changing your own body!

Thank You! I loved the cool down/stretch at the end. As a beginner, (who is 60) I am unsure what stretches are best for the workout. You have been a blessing to my life. I am recovering from a bad accident and your gentle, kind spirit keeps me going and makes me want to get up every morning to see what(non judgmental) challenges you have for us to do. Caroline, thank you for this, from a rheumatoid arthritis patient! I still do weights and strengthening like I have for years; although I am more mindful now about how heavy I can go. Heyy if you’re looking for healthy eating motivation what I usually do is find something wrong with the brand that will keep me away from it. For example, whenever I get McDonald’s cravings I remind myself of the time it made me sick and also that it’s unethical to animals and stuff. I don’t know if it will work for everyone but imo it’s worth a shot

This is such a timely workout for me! I injured my knee a month ago (after slamming it with a dumbbell while doing dumbbell swings 🤦‍♀️) and it's been so hard to find a good leg workout that doesn't involve jumping or squats and lunges. Thank you for thinking of making a knee-friendly workout! Would love to see another one 😊

Good one! I'm trying to do all Caroline's workouts. I haven't done these days yet. This one is excellent; I upped it by using ankle weights, as I, fortunately, have no knee-related problems, but I still believe every workout is worth it. Thanks, Caroline!

This is my 3rd workout from you and I have watched several including some well known folks in this field and I enjoy your video so much more! I fell off the workout train a while ago and trying to get back into it. I enjoy the small light pep talk in the beginning explaining some things. What I like most is that I don't feel rushed through it all and the small preview of the next exercise is so helpful. In this 20 minutes I feel so accomplished and thoroughly worked! I look forward to my workout tomorrow with whatever video I choose. Great format of these videos.

Thank you for this video! I've had 2 knee surgeries and have extreme osteoarthritis (and I'm only 35). Unfortunately, because of that I've had to give up running and leg workouts like this one are the only thing I can do. If possible please make more, I appreciate them so much!

THANK GOODNESS for this workout! I usually do Carolines 40 minute workouts for quad & glutes but I been having a knee sprain so I couldn't be able to do lunges or bulgarians ( SO GOOD FOR BOOTY GAINS TOO ;( ) but in the meantime this workout did not cause NO pain at all or discomfort!

Thank you!! I injured my knee three years ago and stopped working out because of pain. Several months I started working out again, fell in love with you.. but this!! Caroline thank you so much.. words can't express my gratitude, I did this workout today and my knees and I thank you💞💞😍😍😘😘.

Wow, the first 15 mins definitely can feel the glutes are burning. The wall sit with toes is really challenging. Love it.

Omg Caroline just Finish this workout it looked pretty easy in the beginning but when I moved onto the next one or two max exercises was very difficult for me having said that now that I’m done I feel good thank you so much

YES!!! This was awesome. I did Epic day 3 (abs and core) early this morning and I just did this one on my lunch break. SO good. Feeling great! I love these "quick" ones.

You certainly don't have to apologize There are enough people who like to jump and don't like to abs, unlike me I like to jump, but my knees are gone, that's my problem and I have to stop my ambition. But it was so nice, yesterday I saw your jumping video, turn off my laptop and today I turn on my laptop and you have already posted a new video I was touched. My speeches what an advent calendar I wish I was as creative with my hymns of praise for you as you do with your exercises. I not only find your exercises interesting but also the constantly new intervals, which is certainly a lot of work. Whenever I hear people whining: You can't really do sport at home or when I see exercise suggestions, then I think YOU ALL DEFINITELY HAVE THE WRONG CHANNEL THERE IS ONLY ONE YOU TOUBE FITNESS TRAINER, who is creative, inspiring and there for us more than she has to. 🏆🥇🎉 Thank you for being there for 💕

Just did this one today and LOVED IT!! Such a great leg burner!! 💕🔥 I added ankle weights and used 2-25lb weights for the RDLs. 🥳 We added this to the 10 Minute Maker video! Loving these shorter, killer workouts that make you feel like you did a 50 minute one!! 💕💯💥

I love these knee friendly back friendly options...I've worked as floor nurse in the hospital for 35 plus year and the physical reason I can do that job so long is because I excersise...but I have bum shoulders back knees and feet so it's nice to find friendly options so I can still work out but not aggravate my conditions.

Thank you a million times over I have wanted to work out these Parts of my body but reluctantly I wouldn't since I have knee Issues but now I can and I'm So happy ☺👍👍👍👍👍👍 I do your work outs and I have Improved as far as noticing That task some take for granted I can now do because I have Strengthened my core that I've Cried I am getting stronger day by day and I hope someday to be able to at least be able to do some of What you do. From the bottom of My heart thank you you are my Angel I have lost weight and And have a ways to go but I Know my body is getting stronger and leaner.🙌🙌🙌👍👍👍👍👍

We can never skip leg day! Great goal Ila. Caroline's full body and core workouts are great too, though challenging we feel accomplished when we can finish them. I'm on EPIC I myself, taking rest days when needed. Cheers!
