I've added links to all of the mods featured in this video, just expand the video description to see them. Enjoy! Forgot to mention in the video, to turn off black bars: Press End key in game to bring up enb configuration. Look under Shader parameters > ENBEFFECTPOSTPASS.FX and set Cinematic black bars to 0.

"spending more time modding than actually playing the game"
@EbuCallinav
@EbuCallinav 5 лет назад
When I first started playing Skyrim I decided to get the console version only. because I didn't want Skyrim to end up the same way as Oblivion. I had spent so much time modding Oblivion that I'm honestly not 100% certain if I ever ACTUALLY finished the main quest. Only after I fully platinumed the game and when Skyrim SE came out, I decided to get Skyrim on the PC, Now my mod list is currently hanging around 220 mods, with 18 different races all running different builds, and with a customary check of the nexus, each time, before I play Skyrim.

I had the cart problem without touching, thinking, or adjusting setting of any kind, including my ini files. But, generally, having more than 7000 animations through mods can cause problems, also mods that use same cell for quests also can cause conflict, usually, you will get a patch for solving those errors. Try LOOT to see conflicts, use SSEdit to clean mods. if errors like navmesh error is shown in LOOT for a mod,remove that mod immediately since navmesh errors can fuck your whole game. What a great video, clear, concise, and well-spoken. Thanks for all your hard work and time in putting this exceptional video together. I personally spend more time testing the personal mods which are not worth placing in the nexus yet. maybe someday as the is still so much to learn. I do use both mod organizer 2 and vortex but I prefer vortex as it is quite a bit tuned down from mod organize but can sometimes lead to additional problems, which means more time spent on fixing rather than playing. Anyway, thank so much for sharing with all of us, it is greatly appreciated.

Great vid and good choices. If you're interested and have time I recommend you check these out as well. 1 Enhanced Vanilla Trees. There's a big tree option and they're really really nice. 2 ENB wise, check out Re-Engaged. They offer a flavor to enhance most of the top weather and season mods. 3 NAT or Obsidian for weather. Both top notch but NAT's nights and caves are a touch too dark for me. Granted I'm also running ELE and Relighting Skyrim 4 Combat: Archery Overhaul, TK dodge, Ultimate Combat, Wildcat. All of which offer really great improvements. You can mix and match or run them all together, whatever suits your play style best. If you had to pick just one.. I'd say Ultimate combat, since it's the biggest bang for your buck while still not being heavy to run. Wildcat is a bit closer to vanilla, but offers some basic features including adjustable damage difficulty settings for both incoming and outgoing damage.

Problem is I have never modded a game ever and even looking at Mod Organizer 2" how to" videos I am still significantly lost. So I will look into Vortex and see if you have any tutorials for those new to adding mods to SE [Those of us who know nothing about adding mods would love videos that explain step by step procedures]. Thank you for this brilliant informative video. If you have time I (and maybe others) would appreciate a video on why a modded skyrim slows down and tends to CTD more often after many hours of gameplay. I've seen things about "clearing the cache" (what's that?) and save-bloat, but would love a more in depth explanation and tips on how to speed up and stabilise the game. Recently I had to abandon a play through after it crashed so hard I had just switch off my computer to get out of the game. When I rebooted, it went into windows repair! That scared me. Also a fucking badass armoury with like 20-30 statues, and it would be so nice to instead of lifting every item inside a cupboard or something like that, you could just place things into it like you can with the bookcases, and then they're displayed, based on what you put into it. 1. Instead of downloading a lot of texture mods, just download one or two and let your lighting mod do its work. 2. Avoid a gimmick mod like Skyrim Bruma. 3. Download small mods that make a giant difference like FOV with dialogue, Trade and Barter, I need. 4. Expand your gameplay with mods like Ordinator, new creatures/npcs, a castle mod, etc. The goal when modding is simply gameplay. Its the small things that give a good playthrough. Ultimately Skyrim can be modded in every category, its important to narrow down exactly what you prefer. Do you want new npcs and character mods for your gameplay. Or do you want endless combat? Or do you want all your mods to focus on doing retextures? This is important to ask since many mods conflict with each other. So know what mods is a priority and which can be scrapped from using.

Main problem with combat for me is that enemies don't react realistically to getting slashed with a sword or hit by an arrow and so on. Sure there is this massive blood squirt and a ton of blood on the floor but your opponent will keep fighting as if nothing happened, only becoming slightly winded when they are critically injured.

Vigor does add injuries that can be pretty debilitating at times.

@@SilentNightx Yeah but that's just stats penalties. I mean actual changes in animation and behavior in response to injury for example no longer being able to sprint away when badly hurt or losing the use of one of their arms cause it's too badly cut up.

I like "Simply Bigger Trees", but it prevents you from obtaining the treasure map at Dragon Bridge unless you disable the tree, get the map and re-enable it. That "breaks immersion" a bit.

Skyrim is one of few games that have never-ending gameplay plus, Bethesda is the only developers who let you alter there game the way you see it fit is pure brilliance.

One important tool you forgot to mention is LOOT, especially if one use Vortex (as i do) that one is a lifesaver that when run creates a good load order for your mods as well as pointing out "dirty" plugins to run throught SseditQuickAutoClean

Open citie's should be on this list also, it removes the instances of cities so you dont have to sit in a loading screen. I also use Wet and Cold which just adds wet and cold animations to npc's and yourself (I.E; breath, clothes, etc). My favorite mod so far that i'm still trying to get used to however is Ordiantor Skills. This mod completely overhauls the current skill tree's adding a bunch of new skills to the game so more stuff you can play with.
@SilentNightx
@SilentNightx 4 года назад
I didn't mention Open Cities or Ordinator because they both have a ton of incompatibilities. Open Cities also becomes less important when you have the new framerate tweak. I can now run Skyrim at 144fps without physics glitches and in fullscreen. Speeding up FPS in loading screens improves loading times a ton. Wet and Cold would be a good one to cover at some point though.

In my opinion WICO looks better than Total character makeover and is more immersive. Great video btw!

I too like WICO more but it is also more buggy and less compatible with other mods. In my experience it turned the faces of some children and vampires black.

thanks for the video - you certainly did a heck of a lot of work for this one. But - I have installed the essential mods you suggested on a clean install, and there are tons of conflicts in between some of them...
@SilentNightx
@SilentNightx 5 лет назад
This is normal. Sometimes you have to make an educated guess on what should overwrite what, other times the mod author will tell you, and sometimes you need a patch. I tried to mention the most important conflicts in the video though.
