Yeah, those DT DIY videos are all the same. Everyone does the same thing, with what they buy, at the DT, they just change the color or whatever, to suit their homes, but there is never anything original. I prefer thrift flip videos.
Decant your Dawn into an amber glass pump bottle and put your favorite all purpose cleaner in a matching spray bottle. Set them together on a tile next your sink.
Awesome idea. Like sitting on one of those tiny stools or small wooden cutting boards with little legs beside the sink if you have room on your counter.
Also, those bottles for oil are great for dish soap as dawn for some reason like, creeps up and out of the top of every glass pump bottle I’ve ever used for it. Also, I’ve used old maple syrup jars for soap dispensers just by adding the pump after washing it. Shit looks CUTE
I love that their glassware is thick, heavy, and durable. My glasses from Walmart were thin and broke in the sink. I have never had a glass from Dollar Tree break on me.
I need to get over to the dollar tree. The fact that you show these items means, to myself, that they are practical and attractive enough to help organize a space. I trust your taste and style. Thank you for your tips and tricks.
Kiva I found another use for the Dollar Tree Clear soap holder with suction cups. I placed it on my laptop to hold my computer glasses. It would probably also stick to something like a shelf or bookcase nearby to keep them handy and out of the way. Thanks for showing different uses for things I'd just walk by without your ideas. Keep them coming!
@@dianajenkins2220 At the beginning of each year, hubby and I go in and buy all the birthday cards we will need for the year. At only one dollar, you can’t beat it!!
Thank you for all great tips! Those plastic chopping sheets are great for the refrigerator too! I set them on the shelves to keep the shelves clean. Very easy to wipe down or take out and clean.
Fantastic ideas! I love buying Dollar Tree decor and making my home more beautiful without breaking the bank. Thank you SO MUCH for also mentioning the link between mental health and the appearance of our homes. That hit me like a ton of bricks but also made me realize how my home reflects how I feel inside. 💜
Dollar tree!!!!! Love it! I just bought my first home in Brooklyn, and started my RU-vid channel to document my journey! And we have a dollar tree right around the corner!! Iam always there lol!!!
Thank you for considering that the clutter affects our mental health! So many people don’t consider that when they’re shopping!!! I love you’re ideas so much and using functional decor! You don’t hear that enough.
As a Nurse, thank you for the rug pad PSA! You don’t know how many people end up in the hospital because of throw rugs causing slip and falls. Your ideas are awesome, I love the sponge holder idea, seriously life changing for me. ❤️
Well this is why I love you and this chanel. Down to earth, high end suggestions and/or affordable options, something for everyone! Keep up the great content 😊
I love you finally interior interior designer that is open to finding things at the dollar tree and isn’t afraid to show it this is one of my favorite videos of yours definitely will be watching the rest of your videos!!!!!!
Don't let the color of plastic lids deter you from purchasing. Spray paint is your friend. That way, you can have any color you desire to match your decor.
Love these finds, especially the spongeholder! I would just say that even though these things are so cheap, don't just rush to buy everything especially for things you don't need. Its easy and fun to buy but also can quickly become wasteful, and we want to be as environmentally friendly (while still being luxe) as possible :) thanks for the great video Kiva!
One of your best videos!!! Thanks for all of the great ideas. Living in New Orleans, I throw sponges away all the time. I've been leaning them against the faucet to dry but I love the holder hung out of sight. Thanks!
Ok. I know your channel is about DYI home decor but girl, can we talk about your personal fashion style? Would love to see you branch out a little bit and talk about or mention in the description box...outfit of the day. That chain you’re wearing today...👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Just want to say I love your videos! Also how down to earth and relatable you are and your bandwidth between luxury and being frugal! All admiration keep it up!!
They know me by name and face/mask at my local dollar tree. It’s such a good place for so many gems. I even did my daughter’s paper flower wall for her nursery using the dollar store for less than $30
Love your dollar tree tips. Just want to add regarding rug pads. In addition for safety issues. They also protect your floors from scratches from your rug slipping without a pad. 😊
Hello kiva 🤗👏👍 you never disappoint you can make Dollar tree seem so elegant I love that you're mixing high and low and your energy is the same for low pieces as it' is for high end pieces they don't make people feel bad if they can't afford high and pieces and that you give other options
BEST and most enjoyable video yet using Dollar Tree finds!!! Love their black towels & hot pads. And I’ve unintentionally fooled many with the use of those $1 glasses. These are great money saving ideas that don’t make a house look cheap! Save your money for things that deserve it, right? DIY tip: melt your leftover candles in microwave and using a candle wick from dollar tree fill those cute trinket boxes for new candle decor. You cracked me up referring to Ikea kitchen towels...“ they’re red and white and that’s just not anyone’s colors”. 🤣😂🤣
You never stop surprising me lady! When you think you can’t possibly come up with something new that’s exactly what you do.So talented!! I am from Norway and your biggest fan! Since I found you-not too long ago I have learned so much! Thank you thank you thank you!!! I absolutely love everything you do!!! 🇳🇴❤️
I love dollar tree for cute little trinkets and such. I use to get contact paper and decorate the inside of my refrigerator and I’ve also added it to ceiling fans gives pop.
So buy the Method dish soap from Target. It's just as good as Dawn, smells better, and the neutral, cream packaging is so nice. If you decide you don't like the Method dish soap, just refill it with Dawn.
I always put my dish soap in a fancy soap bottle from Homegoods, I also switch my mazola oil to fancy one etc etc and that way I can keep it in top of my counter.
Yes! Dollar Tree has some great gems. I especially like their book section. I have a few on my bookshelf. Love the black matte book covers. Recently picked up a quite large, museum book. The pictures inside are really nice and the cover is a beautiful creamy, white color. Looks lovely on my coffee table. Only $1, wow!
@@KivaBrent yes I picked up a lot of great books I always check what's under the cover picked up a great Nelson Mandela book a Morris Chestnut book and life from above they was pretty large books with great color and cover
I found the clear cutting sheets over 10 yrs ago, just fabulous! I hate wood cutting boards( gross germs) and glass ( that chopping sound😳) Always keep our eyes open for discount items you can mix things up and make a really sharp home! Save money, be creative and have fun while doing it!!!🤗
So funny - "don't your standards change for stores?" Me at Walmart: "Five dollars, seriously? No way." Me at Nordstrom: "Only twenty dollars, seriously?! I'll take two."
@@rikoriko8106 Walmart is more of a every day store, where you find everything from food, clothes, car parts, home and garden decoration etc and it’s usually very cheap. Nordstrom is more high end, and expensive.
I wasn't sure I needed another DIY channel on my sub list but by the end of this episode I had hit subscribe three times. Heck yes, I love this content. I love the energy. I love the attractive, stylish, & witty hostess and how fast she talks.
I'm moving to a small apartment soon and that in the sink sponger holder trick blew my mind! I love it. I'm hoping to find a pretty bottle to hold dish soap on the counter.
I have always loved the dollar store! Through the years they have truly stepped up Their game. New subscriber, I just came over from a suggestion from the chic on the cheap.
You have no idea how much you validated me with this video. I've bought literally every one of these dollar tree items in my redecorating journey hahaha
When my sister got married, my mom balked at the price of renting plates and glasses and so on. Instead, she purchased all of that stuff from Dollar Tree. It looked way fancier than using disposable (have you seen some of the steel serving trays in the wedding section??!!), and when the wedding was over, they sold the whole setup as a package deal on Craigslist for more than they paid for it.
@@lql1094 It does sound like that lol. Probably why I call the decorative kitchen towels that I display for Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc. dish towels, but the ones I use I call rags🤣 I never really thought about it
I like black dish towels (Or other very dark colors) also. I hate to see a grungy light color towels that is all stained & yucky. The dark colors look soo much better !
