I love Chiori. She doesn't take shit from anyone. Shes also such a contrast from the rest of the Fontaine cast. She literally cuts through the bullshit with her direct attitude. I love it.

Watching this video made me realize how much a Geo vision definitely fits her. Just like other geo characters like Itto or Ningguang, her stubbornness and formidable will is definitely something not to mess with lol.

Fun sewing jargon and Chiori parallels: woven fabric has fibers going in two overlapping directions called the grain. To go with the grain is to cut alongside the fibers, to go against the grain is to cut over those cross sections. Despite all these facts, Chiori is really the "polar opposite" to Raiden Ei who follows her own rules rather than of Inazuma's. Not only she was a "rule-breaker", but also HoYoverse's embodiment of "style", both in clothing and makeover. (Literally: "Chiori is once Inazuman, now a Fontanian.")

Despite Inazuma being super authoritarian by the time the traveler got to it, - it has 4 anemo characters (if you count wanderer) - the geo characters are rebels - 3 characters having history of leaving and 1 foreigner entering and staying even tho getting in and out of Inazuma used to be difficult

I believe her sword art style is inspired by Iten Ichi-ryu and she herself by Musashi, the greatest sword man in Japan He came up with the sword art all by himself after many duels, it was considered non-standard sword art by many.

I like that she got a geo vision which symbolizes immovable will and the contracts where you are supposed to obey the rules of the contract but she does the exact opposite XD zhongli knew what he was doin

I love her sm!! It has been a long time since I decided to pull a character solely based on their personality/lore and design rather than gameplay, but Chiori is simple yet an amazing character

We not gon talk abt how she broke into the kamisato estate and played with ayaka Chiori also got one of the best parents out of any playable character

This is the first time I'm connecting the dots regarding the symbol when they sheath their swords. When Ayato released, I noticed his and instantly thought "same as Ayaka's, must be a Kamisato art thing" but I forgor that Kazuha has it too and Kuki. Excuse me while I go to examine every Inazuma sword character in game (except Kirara because hoyo doesn't want me to get her)

"she cuts from unexpected angles, ignores the direction of threads" omfg as a tailor I feel this so bad, when a pattern says to "cut on the bias" but I adjusted the fit to be stiffer than the og pattern and only cut specific piece on the bias and keep the rest unstrecheable😂

She’s so.. fun. I love how she unapologetically puts in the work to achieve her dreams, and even then still steps away to live her life selfishly Living in the moment is not a bad way to live, and being selfish is not a bad trait inherently anyways.

If I find a rule dumb I demand a explanation before I decide whether or not to follow it, rules based on “norms” are the worst, I don’t go breaking rules because I can but I respect her thought process

Fun Fact: Chiori's Sword Style is called "Niten Ichi-ryū", a Samurai Sword Art that involves two blades, usually a katana and a wakizashi (samurai swordsword). While most Samurai Sword Arts feature applying a combination of power and precision with their attacks, this is not a strong suit of Niten Ichi-ryu, as it makes a swordsman's strength and focus be split between two weapons. The strong suit of this Style, however, is its defense. While one can attack with two weapons, you can also defend with both weapons. Most people with this Style would also rather dodge and than defend since one does not expect to block an attack from heavy weapons or weapons held with two hands and when they catch someone off-guard after dodging, they have a better opportunity to counterattack. I suppose this is all fitting for Chiori, as she has split Scalings for her Skill and Burst. XD Additionally, with this discussed, when people thought Chiori is a Kunoichi like Shinobu, she's actually a Ronin (Masterless Samurai), like Kazuha.

Not wanting to adhere to rules seems a lot like something that would grant you an Anemo vision, because it’s a desire for freedom. But Chiori’s stubbornness when it comes to, basically, doing whatever she wants (also ties into the freedom ideal) is a trait that could get you a Geo vision. She is so deadest on doing whatever that she got a Geo vision.

I was debating whether I should get her and ruin my plans for future which are neuvillette c1 and furina and all. There was a certain attraction to her. I started her story quest and said f it I want her and won the pity✨

I kinda feel really identified with her character and her defiance against rules, and i actually like the attention to detail of her sword technique not being as “proper” and “inadequate” considering other inazuman characters sword style, but imo she feels really unique and i do love dual sword users, i belive she is the first female character to be a dual sword wielder, the first character to be a dual sword wielder was al-Haitham, i wish i could pull for her but her banner will be gone in a few days and i already lost my 50/50 to jean lmao

It's understood why she recieved a Geo vision, because of her stubbornness, but it's the kind of stubborn that fights for the gut feeling, the feeling of self validation, and being able to do what you want because you deserve it. Chiori is an amazingly written character.

yeah same as kirito from sao and zoro from one piece they're also have the same issue like chiori so they styles different than the other swordsman there but there some details about miyamoto musashi was used two sword

I think ironically Ei would approve of Chioris sword art. Not to mention that Chiori's own dressing is in the same style as Raiden Shogun's which itself is less conservative than Inazuma's mode. In many ways Chiori is the reflection of Raiden Ei, as in when Chiori is breaking the Inazuma's rules, Raiden has always been above them.

She not hearing anyone rules, doing thing by her mood, don’t care about pleasantries, had a “impossible” dream is things that exist in teenagers that are in their rebellious phase. But I love it though, it show that she away stay true to herself throughout her live. Truly a breath of fresh air on the character cast.
