I'm your host, Darren Van Dam!
Tired of looking for good movies to watch on Netflix, Amazon Prime or other streaming services? Every week I recommend a handful of the best movies on Netflix, Amazon, HBO etc. so my subscribers never run out of good movies to watch on streaming. Spending 10 minutes watching one of my videos could save you hours of searching, hours that you could otherwise spend watching good movies on streaming that you otherwise might not have ever watched or even known about.
Thanks for watching!

RE: Troll. Yes, bland, and a missed opportunity... the scene near the start, where he opens his eyes, everything AFTER that was a let down. And the ending - where the plot has put them in a paradox - the plot means the Troll HAS to die, but also needs our protagonist to be all "Oh he's almost human, don't kill it." So she 'saves' him, then he dies anyway... problem solved!

I am constantly appreciative of your efforts in digging through the chaff to find the good stuff. Good list. BTW Little Nemo was originally a BEAUTIFULLY drawn comic strip from the early 1900's by Winsor McCay. It was influenced by the Art Nouveau movement, and is wonderfully inventive. His art far exceeds the anime.

"Little Nemo In Slumberland" was initially a comic strip by Windsor McKay from 100 years ago that was truly mind-bending. It became popular again in the Sixties, when underground comix were the rage.
@Jerry_Fried
@Jerry_Fried Год назад
Thanks, you saved me some typing. It's worth noting that McKay himself was one of the first animators. He brought his character Gertie the Dinosaur on the road, where McKay would appear on the stage and Gertie would appear on the screen and the two would interact. I can only imagine that it would have been an immensely entertaining vaudeville act.

Zathura is basically a sequel to the original Jumanji. The author of the books planned for there to be three games with loosely connected stories: one jungle adventure, one space adventure, and one old wester adventure. The books never developed a large enough following for the writer to complete the trilogy, even after the first two were made into movies.
