I remembered reading somewhere a long time ago, that there was a demand for a Large amount of money as a 'Dowry' before she married Prince Ranier. Could that even be true? Apparently her family was quite wealthy, but for what reason would a dowry be expected? Wish somebody could look at this even being a possibility, but seems unlikely to be honest. What a gorgeous woman she was though.

I will never understand why beautiful, talented, super successful, independently wealthy Grace Kelly...gave a second look to that short, greasy, shady, arrogant little Prince, of the super tiny, irrelevant city state. Prince of a sunny place; for shady people. He was repulsive and so disrespectful to her...taking up with his three mistresses and adding another one within the first 6 weeks of being married. She was a star, she had the press, her father was rich, she had to give all her money to the little prince, ...she could have smuggled her children out and left that rat. She had her faults but she deserved much, much better.
