I live near Kalamazoo MI .. Although we had 10 snow days this winter I was busy with other things.. thinking the trail needed to get the first snow packed the mud holes frozen and a bit more snow .. then it was 60F the next week. Never rode my sleds 1 mile this season. I got both sleds out added some Stable oil to the gas rode them around the yard once and put them away for the season. I tell you the Yamaha Attack has some hit sod for traction. I hit the throttle and the front end came up .. My 800 CC Skidoo Renegade is no slouch either. Still hoping for that Grand Solar Minium instead of Gullible Warming caused by HARP and Cloud Seeding ect..and Chem trails ..
Yeah I totally understand.. I live in Oakland co and usually do big rides every year for many many years in the UP or wherever there is snow here in the state .. I only did 4 miles to exercise it just because I couldnt stand it sitting which it never does in winter … not selling and not buying a new one (love too) but winter is not winter past couple years - this year was a bummer .. and before that Yamaha is no longer a sled brand … thought about making a ice sled but it’s doesn’t get cold enough for long … enough of winter ! Time for T shirt toys , shorts , boats and street fun !
@@JDRTRM I was planning to ride in the UP this Winter for the first time. I bought a pickup camper.. It's such a long drive I planned to stay up there for a week .
It will be interesting to see how long Cat keeps using the 998. Also don't think we didn't notice the B roll footage of the 2020 XTX haha yeah I know it's practically the same sled. That 2020 is my favorite color scheme!!!
I have seen so many videos of people tuning these yamaha 4 strokes to 300 hp and beyond, It's a shame they are leaving. Who knows what they could have done if they stayed and continued to innovate.
@corbensquirrel8245 they won't, their partnership with AC is up after this year. Also the 998 engine won't fit in the catalyst anyways so no more Thundercats from AC
Is there a better looking sled on the snow? I don’t think so. Of course, a subjective topic. That design continues to stand out. Just contemplating ordering a ‘25 right now. 2 days to do so. Aside from a grade B gauge I can live with my only other wish would be a Cobra track option; which isn’t available from factory. Kudos to Polaris for giving the consumer more track options.
@@JGR1517 feels just as smooth as factory we did the turbo dynamics power trail tune with cold air intake in Michigan I used thunder power sports in essexville highly recommend it!
Yeah that is a steep price....But let's not forget that the "meta" as some may say, is light weight two stroke turbo sleds. Sad to seem them go but it is what it is.
So explain to me who in their right mind is going to drop 30k Canadian on a sled that will be gone next year? Anyone that buys one of these I have some ocean front property in Arizona for you.
@@wasupfool5692where’d you find that info? I’m not saying I don’t believe it, I’m a ski doo guy myself, but I figured the sidewinder is still the fastest.
