Today I finish up the work we began in the previous video. The linkage and shifter were very sloppy and here we find out exactly why now that they are off the car. I will show you how to tighten up the play in the linkage by rolling the pins with a ball peen hammer. We also replace the soft, tired OEM rubber shifter bushings with some new urethane Energy Suspension bushings. The K-Tuned short shifter is a nice piece but needs some adjustments to get it dialed-in. To make the shifter work perfect we also had to modify the shift linkage to give it clearance for free movement. The confluence of all these adjustments and modifications equals a much improved shifter feeling for any B-series shifter!
