Too complex for a lot of non technophobes it puts the older generation off, no pipes up the back, Worcester a terrible decision 😳 what were you thinking, obviously you weren’t, I’ve fitted loads of Baxi boilers since this came out.
Kevin T this is a basic entry boiler in terms of price. I’d expect the installer to set up the interface! The controller for the customer is the comfort controller, very easy for the customer
Paul Turner I know exactly what this is it’s a backwards step from previous Worcester’s, using words like interface you would completely confuse a lot of people and put them off from buying it, most older people ask for “the button” that’s all they want, I’ve shown several people brochures for this boiler and get comments like I want a boiler not a big iPhone, entry level boiler hmm yes not an entry level price. I was fitting 40 to 50 Worcester’s a year I’m down to 3 in the last year and two of those were oil boilers, no pipes up the back is pathetic the person who said yes to this needs sacking, simpler controls for older people, that thing is losing sales in this area, it’s just not up to it, Worcester listen to installers and not engineers who don’t install.
These Greenstar 2000 come with a fault from factory and nobody wants to mention it. I have constant issues with heating, doesn't fire up no matter what you do then all of the sudden it decides to work. Had numerous engineers out, Ohh it's the thermostat, it's the diverter valve, it's this it's that....yet still doesn't work after a few days. I got to a point where I can confirm that these are just over engineered crap. Going back to trusty old Vaillant.
How do you turn the heating on/off each day? Just had this installed and currently do everything from boiler controls. Is it a simple of just turning the temperature up/down?
Did you find out how to do this? We were told by the guy who installed it that we had to turn it off at the wall.. but then we would have no hot water 🤦🏻♀️
Can someone tell me how to put summer mode on? Landlord had this installed a few months ago, and we got told by the heating guy there was no way to turn the heating off without switching it off at the wall!
