@@masta51 You must be new to this. No NHRA certified track in the entire country will let you make more than one pass under 9.9 without a certified cage. SpeedFactorys Civic has a full interior since they had to add weight to meet Wild Street requirements this year.
@@masta51 You clearly have no idea what "chassis" means if you think adding coil overs makes the chassis "modified". *chas·sis /ˈCHasē,ˈSHasē/ noun noun: chassis; plural noun: chassis the base frame of a motor vehicle or other wheeled conveyance.
Told my grandpa that the lil civics that he hated were doing trap speeds over 200,he told me i was just lying and if i took him to a drag strip and he saw it by himself he will give me 1.000 bucks,I was at this event with my grampa,he litterally freaked out because of the speeds of this cars,he litterally cried and said -I'm so proud of you kids now, your doing things double or triple faster with a third of the displacement that we used to race,it's so sad that i wouldn't be alive to see the things that are going to come. He died yesterday because of corona....and here i am,looking at what made my grandad so proud....(sorry for my bad english, but i had to share this with you guys)
@Aaron Cubitt okay, so I assume where you are from there are tons of single cylinder engines? Unless we are talking bikes here your stupidity amuses me. Even then, all bikes sound different and none have the capacity nor revs required to reach anything close to 500 hp. Do you have any idea how brutal the explosions (exhaust note) of that size would sound like. Especially cos its a one cylinder-meaning its rough sounding already since it lacks 2nd one to balance it out. Weeb
nallen100 pretty sure the red demon has gone 6’s I’ve seen a video of a red eclipse running sub 7 seconds if that’s him then he’s faster than this Honda for sure.
Its amazing how the other car leaves it behind 100ft then out of nowhere it catches it and flies past. Nearly the same ET but 40 mph faster. Leaves so smooth. Doesn’t buck or spin, just goes. It reminds me of one of their electromagnetic rollercoasters that go 0-100 in 2 seconds
I been doing Honda's since before hasport made wire harness adapters, shift linkage, and mount kits and before there was a fast and furious. About 15 years ago this was my dream, made some mistakes and couldn't make it happen. I'm so proud to see that ff Honda do a 7. OMG that must feel amazing, grats to everyone.
What this guys achive its something that would stay in history. The efford to overcome what was not design to perform on drag racing its amaizing. 8 years ago i made a bet that a FWD could do 7sec, everybody laugh on me, they didnt had the perspective of things but speedfsctory did. Thank you for beeing so humble and never give up pushing boundaries every year! I love the inspiration this gives me!
@@fabianteka that Mustang ran out of gear, that's what happened. It's easy to have a trans built for the 1320 that gets you to top speed in the shortest amount of time. I dont think the Mustang knew what he was up against.
I don't think I've r ever seen anything quite like that before in that mustang race. Not at those speeds. It was almost like watching a Top Fuel vs Outlaw race. Pretty incredible
@bill william WRONG! It's a stock chassis with a B series and H pattern trans. BTW I bet you're real fun at parties. You seem like the kind of person that got mad at people for coloring outside the lines when you were a child. This is all about pushing the limits of what something can do and challenging yourself. We already know what a RWD v8 drag car can do.
@bill william im sorry but its a honda drivetrain with a honda body its like saying a 350 small block isnt a 350 because its been bored and has different heads its a stupud argument
Honda's have come a long way since the early 2000's.. These kids have grown up and now have adult money to play with.. Watching this now makes me miss my slow GT35R 12 second street EG hatch w/ Quaife LSD from 2007..
Back in the 90's I use to run ,high 13 low 14 in my honda hatch back 1993 with a h22 JDM stock motor... My friends would laugh at me in their mustangs and Camaros... They weren't faster than me, but impressive to see that front wheel drives has gone a long way.... Good times at mir buds creek.
That's the thing with these drag civics they don't give you power and pull off the line but completely destroys you once you're like past 60 I love that
I remember a time not long ago when a 7 sec ET was only achieved by like a big cube, twin turbo 10.5 outlaw car with a 10 person, matching shirt entourage. Now guys with home built street cars are running 7’s. 10 years ago I’d have told you its impossible. 2,000 hp from a 2.0 4cyl? Sick, just sick. It makes my brain hurt. 10 years ago my 700 wheel hp was king of the road where i live. Now its a joke. I sit in the corner and keep my mouth closed because some 20 year old kid with a Subaru with bolt-ons will walk me.
You know these Hondas have been around a long time using some of the same components for many years. In the GM world they call this kind of thing FRANKENBLOCKS. That's various heads and bottom ends mated together without issue... There are other Front wheel drive platforms which might even have more potential that haven't met their full capabilities yet because they were behind the curve in the mid 90s. This is going to get heated over the next 5-10 years with others entering this field wait and see. Nothing more notable than 4 bangers beating the shit out of v8s
@Dog Hampster You're just mad because these fucking ricers are getting close to big displacement territory in about every category. Show me some pushrod dog shit v8 hitting 11k RPMS brother!
@Dog Hampster now its obvious YOU are the one who plays forza, because you have said the shitty comeback In other comments on this video about 10 times already, knock it off honda hater, jesus, you got anger issues to the max
I've owned both a terminator and a hatchie and in my opinion nothing beats a Honda. They are fun cars to drive. I have the money to go buy a Audi R8 but I love wrenching on my EK.
@@ivannevistic1088 Hondas in the 90s and 2000s showed that it was much quicker to just put wheelie bars on the car than extreme engine mods. This is nothing new here. It makes a world of difference
It wouldn't make it going that fast fwd front engine cars that fast have like 80% of the weight over the front wheels it would get real squirrelly going much faster
Okay..this just inspired me to finish my k20 build! WTF! WHAT TYPE OF BEAST IS LURKING UNDER THAT HOOD?! WHAT MAKES IT GROWL, SLASH & SHRED WITH SUCH BRUTAL VIOLENT FORCE?! I have an fg2 i hit a deer with thats just been haunting me to possibly swap but definitely build & play with her!
I will never forget the first time I got rail roaded by a Honda and to make it worse my old lady was with me it was a awkward ride home lol. my Firebird went on a diet and the turbo build started two weeks later. lol
Imagine you launch that hard as the mustang and you see the Honda way in the back and you think you have it in the bag, and just as you are about to pass the line you hear a literal rocket flying past you at 200+mph
A hole shot is one thing... but just blowing the doors off somebody on the big end is so much more exciting to watch. Love these super bad Hondas and the crews that build 'em.
Top fuel dragsters use an 8.2L V8 churning out 8,500+ hp. 9,500 rpm and 60+psig of boost with nitro oxidized fuel. They don’t even use normal transmissions, instead they use staged clutch system. This is a 2.0L 4 cylinder making 2000 hp. I wanted to know the fuel, turbo spec, rpm, and how often it’s rebuilt. Top fuel dragsters engines don’t last to long. This might even be lighter and more aerodynamic lol. Very impressive.
