You're absolutely correct! They are very high quality cars with excellent build quality. I had an X5 with 224k miles, and despite poor service from the previous owner, it still ran fairly good, except some misfires and a few other issues. If that car was maintained properly, it would run like new. The body was in excellent shape, and so was the interior, beside some wear in certain parts (again, was poorly treated). If you take care of them, they will run for many years and huge mileages without an issue.

The fact that you have to point out specific examples of German reliability says a lot😅 Japanese is known to run and instead people will point out specific examples of flaws. In both cases because it is a rare occurrence haha! The fact of the matter is nobody says "I'd like a reliable car. Let's look at all the German options." 😂

My examples of the X5 and Porsche Cayman were to illustrate that when maintained well, German cars can offer a blend of performance, luxury, and reliability that's hard to beat. In the end, it's about personal preferences and priorities. Some might prioritize the low-maintenance, high-reliability aspect, while others might lean towards performance and driving pleasure, accepting the trade-off in maintenance. In fact, one of my cars is an Infiniti, and don't get me wrong it's super reliable, serviced on time, and great to drive, but it does have its flaws. Oil consumption tends to get thirsty, dashboard materials tend to crack due to cheap materials, tires are replaced between 4 to 6 months due to being a heavy car, and faulty lock actuators, just to name a few. Any car will have problems regardless. I always have a local independent shop whenever I need something replaced.

@@DMCarReviews i had a q50 redsport and it was the worst car i ever owned the chassis feel like weird i had to replace the transmission twice and the car was stock the enfontainment system was horrible super outdated i mean i would never paid over 60k for that car
