SES light on. If I had to guess, I would say the Long Term Fuel Trims are high. Indicative of a vacuum leak;very common to these engines with the intake gaskets leaking. I have a 2001 S-10, and I had to change mine out with a set of Fel-Pro gaskets. GM's crappy intake gaskets caused a LOT of issues on the 3.1/3.4/3.8/4.3/5.0/5.7 Liter engines. I sure hope they corrected this issue in the newer models, but I doubt it.
My grandfather had one of these LT Blazers from 2000or 2002 that looked almost exactly like this one but with a leather interior and different front blinker lights but unfortunately back in 2020, water got into one or few cylinders and we had to say goodbye to it. I will however never forget the memories I have of that car and I wish we still had it today especially considering how long a 4.3 can potentially last if it wasn't for the water issue I mentioned.
Just sold my 1994 wrangler to get back into a good Ol' chevy . Got a 2001 blazer honestly in better shape than this one in 2022! . 220,000kms . Cant go wrong with a well maintained chevy !!!
Our 2012 Malibu has the check engine light on for well over 50,000 miles and we never had a single mechanical issue with the car. The mechanic never found out why the light was on.
Usually there isn't anything mechanically wrong, but with this there is. Probably is sitting in a junkyard somewhere. The reason I say that is pay attention to the oil pressure gauge. It's pretty low. Not something to mess with, trust me, I know.
I got 2001 blazer 2 wheel drive it takes 3 times then cranks up an runs fine I put new spark plugs new distributor new fuel pump an filter it does it when the motor is cold it's got 278 thousand miles on it I'm thinking it's the spider injectors going bad but idk what the problem is any suggestions
Sounded like your fuel pump was in it's last days on the first turnover. Also sounds like you have a vacuum leak when you opened the hood. Idk, that's what mine used to sound like.
But is it just me but everyone that comment on this didn't see the oil pressure how low it is only gose up when hitting the gas the oil is restricted in that motor it's about to kill that oil pump and kill that motor the hell with it having cold air and like y'all said what's up with the ses light
