Scottie - The wheels are 17x9.5 American Racing 200S alloy with "Magnetallic Gray" painted spokes. Dale selected these because they remined him of similar Mags his put on one of his Hot-Rod street cars in his youth.
I actually saw Dale's personal Intimidator SS at the Camaro Nationals in Maryland last year. It's numbered PR-1 for "Prototype-1". It was really sort of chilling to be standing so close to something he had driven.
Well.. since i've subscribed.. not gonna lie.. your giving me a hard time picking a favorite car.. so many good cars! So far I really want this and that notchback red 91 5.0 you shot. Amazing. So clean.
@MrVincent16ish Me to Brother...and seeing it back on the track last night...not sure how I feel about that...I was there the year he won..after 20 yrs of trying...how lucky am I??...thanks for stopping by Brother!
My Dad owns one and he gets up to 28 MPG on highway and averages low to mid twenties. That 6 speed transmission really gets great gas mileage. The worst he has gotten burning rubber and everything was just over 20.
@satchboogyfan Yea..he wanted it to have some retro accents...the SS are the same as the originol ones...and the wheels are like a wheel that would have been hot back than..but than the modern body...very cool Car..I would love to have it...thanks for cking it out!
ive been to that museum and will share this video showing this is the car and place ive been since my friend just sent me a link for one of these cars that is currently for sale.
Love the video Scottie - thanks for posting it. Not many people know about these 2001 Intimidator Camaros. This should help get the word out. I see you're a real 'Car Guy' just like myself and Floyd are. Keep up the Good Work.
I heard only 27 of the 83 were able to be signed before his passing. They were sold from earnhardt chevrolet. Inalso heard that some of those signature were on his desk. Not sure if office desk or home desk. But theres always legends told ya kno
@SuperKA85 I only shoot the really nice stuff...good luck on choosing a favorite..lol..Jeffs Mustang is a very nice car...did you see his buddies 88...black and turbo charged...very nice car to...thanks for cking out my videos Brother!!
@ScottieDTV 2004-05 Chevrolet Silverado Joe Gibbs truck I think they were all black Regular cab trucks Some had 6.0s and supercharger It was an optional trim pkg.
Baddest car I've ever seen from a f body. And it even has a flat panel crank like nascar..and like the new c8r vette. This thing is a factory freak. Saw one for 19,000 with 3k miles on it for sale a year ago most are 40grand It has 400hp, and it has a LS6 intake a cfm a whisper lid kit, a pulley kit. And flat panel crank system that is insane for a LS, SLP exhaust, interior perks were like a trans am ws6 with the radio of a new GMC He also signed the cluster on about 30 of them or more but then passed away so I think half or less didn't get signed=[ Smokem if you gotem!! *Highdroponic*
There was actually 84 made Kelly Earnhardt contacted Chevy in 2002 and talked them into building her one because she couldn't get in on the first batch so technically 84 My friend owns number 82
Don't get me wrong this is a nice Camaro. I believe they cost around 40 grand when new. No way would I pay a 20 grand premium because it's a Dale Earnhardt edition. All it has performance wise is an air lid and better cat back exhaust. It's not really any faster than a stock 2001 SS. These cars were underrated at the factory, with stock ss's dynoing at 310 to 320rwhp. So ya I love Camaro's but this one isn't like a Berger/gmmg phase 2.
+ScottieDTV sure thing man. definitely some cool cars there. this here barn find is one of his latest acquisitions www.hotrod.com/cars/barn-finds/1511-barn-find-1969-dodge-daytona-charger-discovered-in-alabama/
Originally there was going to be three options for motors but when Dale died Teresa only allowed one but three people took it to the original mechanic that built the motor from Chevy and turned his up to 525 horse cost about $10,000 to do the additions
