In this video, I show you step-by-step how to replace a PCV valve on your 4.7L Dodge engine. It is really easy to do and can be done in about 10 minutes! I did this pretty much with one hand haha. This was done on a 2001 Dodge Dakota Sport 4x4
My car burned a little bit of oil and idled weird sometimes. Also felt like I had a loss of power at random times. With the new PCV valve, truck is running much better and wish I did it earlier! I also cleaned the Idle Air Control Valve which helped a lot as well :)

I have a 4.7 01 Dodge Dakota and it has blue smoke coming from exhaust has weird idling issues at random will even die out sometimes... You think if I do this will it fix my problem

There’s something leaking oil on my 4.7. It’s near the pcv valve but it has an electrical connection going right in the engine. I can see it looking up from the thermostat? Looks like it connects with a screw. Any idea what that is? Thanks

So an issue I have been having is low oil pressure and a knocking in the motor, only at low rpms, I'm almost positive that it is the oil pump in the front of the motor but could this possibly help fix the issue, if so I'd like to know before I tear my motor open, thanks for reading

Can a bad PCV valve cause blue smoke out of your tail pipe?

It could! But blue smoke is most likely something else. It doesn’t hurt to start off simple with the PCV though :)

I just got my truck a month ago so I’m not familiar with this 4.7 yet. I do notice everything is so tight and kind of a pain. Even what you did here you gotta take things off the get to the PCV.
