The owner should definiely replace that coolant cap. A lot of people will replace them every 1-2 years depending on on how much they drive the car. The pressure valve fails and leaks, as that one has, and can leak to insufficient coolant levels and all the problems that can come along with that. Very cheap, quick and easy to do. 👍🏻
