Friendly tip. For anyone who's going to do this...put a magnet under the plug. To catch it if you plan on keeping them. And just zip tie the fuel line at the regular back. Holds it out of the way better

Found your site about a week ago and been binging on this Ford project ever since. You ended up with a great looking truck especially from the leveling kit and side bars and LEDs. A lot of good performance mods as well. You need to keep Matthew around more for supervision. Maybe you would have never messed with that spring or the side exhaust in the first place. LOL. The next mod has to be a Detroit Truetracs.....front and rear. You will be unstoppable. Not really in a off road sense. You are too long and low. But in the real world, unstoppable. Go for it!! Already looking forward to the next mod, whatever it is.

Add a length of hose over the fuel line to protect it from chaffing and give it some insulation from heat.

It doesn’t need protection from heat I might put a tube on one section I’ll see if it could be an issue

I'm with you on that. There isn't really a change in idle volume. I'm getting ready to do a diy bowl delete/rr and running the fp at 65psi. From what I understand it should calm the idle. The hutch mod also makes a big difference

Great video, I've been wanting to do this upgrade for my dually. Invest in shop towels I'd hate to see that fuzzy white stuff end up in the fuel system. Also you're up pipes are leaking, when you are showing the driver side fitting you can see the soot from the pipe, this will cause high EGT's, loss in boost and slight fuel mileage, and the truck will run quieter also. I think after a while it should sound quieter at least that is what I've read.

Glad you're getting it. Did you get the oil crossover too? Also good for smooth running injectors. Also get into the valve covers, do the 50cent mod, torque the injectors and rockers, check glow plugs for continuity.

You can get the Dorman gaskets, it's one piece inside.

FixItNick you don’t need to torque them unless you’re removing them and reinstalling them. Literally never seen a set come loose in 20 years of working on them.

Riffraff sells a special 9/32 square socket to remove the test port plug, the socket is too long. If the socket were a shorted 1/4 inch drive it would work much better. I took mine to the grinder and shortened it. That socket is the only item from RiffRaff that has disappointed me.

I would suggest moving the fuel line from touching the turbo get extremely hot

Just installed this today on my 2000. The rear plug was such a pain in the rear to get out. Couldn't tell a difference at idle but the engine seemed a little more quiet on the highway.

Should’ve just deleted the bowl, done a regulated return with a fass system. Wayyyyy better fuel flow and filtration than stock. More money but if you plan to keep it that’s the way to go.

FASS system really isn’t much of an upgrade on the superduty. They help more with the OBS since they had a mechanical fuel pump.

David Shelby I disagree, as I said better fuel system than stock, and way better filtration. Installed tons of them on 7.3’s obs and superdutys, even 6.0’s I’ve noticed a big difference.

While your changing that wheel, get some bellowed up pipes and lower your EGT’s and get your boost back. Your stock up pipes are leaking, hence the soot on the firewall.
