After watching your video I've decided to do this for my Sonoma. You're right I can get them for $120 I wish you wouldn't shown how to hook up the heated wires.
The seat fasteners are not rusted, the factory heavily loctites them! Apply heat and they ALWAYS remove like butter. Same goes for the seatbelt fasteners.
I went and got the same seats with same controls but my wiring harness on my new seats has One large Orange wire two Small orange wires with black stripes. Two small brown wires. Two small black wires with white stripes and one large black wire. But my factory gmc Sonoma plug only has seat belt wires which are two small black wires, one With a white stripe. I first wired up only the large orange and large black to power and ground to test, And nothing happened. Then I tried wiring all the orange wires together and all the black wires together leaving the brown ones and still nothing happened.
Thanks for this video bro!! I've sold many of these 8 way power seats how exactly did you get the driver side seat with memory to work I just need to know so it's easier in the future to remove them when there's no battery in the vehicle ?? I typically bring along a 12 volt lithium battery from my drill I know you can't just touch ground and hot and expect it to work like the passenger side will there's more too it🤔 BTW I just did a video in Jacksonville Florida where I found my first GMC Jimmy with envoy package same seats 👍 in my opinion they're nicer than the diamond edition.
That’s brilliant! Do you know if I could do the same thing to my 02 GMC Sonoma extended cab with the 60/40 split bench. Bucket seats would be really nice
I pulled seats from a 2002 envoy but they did not fit. Brackets are longer by about 3 inches and the power controls are different then your video. Do you know if there different versions of 2002 Envoy seats?
i know the ones in a 2000 tahoe take alot to make to work. id say hell no try something else i have the 2000 tahoe seats and I'm trying to get them to work but it's real pain so far
