Watch a full tutorial as a 2006 Honda Accord will have a brand new AUX / USB integrated kit installed. This kit retains the factory radio functionality and adding a USB input and AUX input. This will be a simple plug and play installation.
This video applies to Honda Accord models for years 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007. This video also includes dash trim and stereo removal, wiring, installation, and testing.

***HEADS UP*** to anyone trying this instal, i just learned the hard way that if your radio is model 7BK2 there is no plug to connect this adapter. his model is the 7BK0. subtle differences you wont notice until you rip your fingernails off taking the radio out to realise. look at the bottom left face of your lcd display to determine the model.

Take the 😢 back. Just unplugged the occupied one for cd/xm it was just pointing back not down. So surprised The stock system sounds so good w/out the dumb fm b/t thing. Used an $18 one from eBay. Mic works great with phone.

for anyone who is dealing with this, if your radio has the optional XM tuner installed, the white plug seen @ 3:06 may be oriented the same direction as the blue plug next to it. It makes the install a little more difficult since you have to orient the new plug in the same direction before you slide up behind it. Difficult, not impossible, and only slightly more swearing than normal. Again, this is only for you poor souls that got the car with the XM tuner option.

@@dylanatkinson1538 the frequency an FM transmitter uses reduces your decibals by ALOT. When i got mine someone hardwired an fm transmitter over the aux, so i swapped it. I had less than half the sound quality with the fm transmitter.

Thanks, this video helped! I have a base model Accord so there weren't any holes to feed the cables through. Resorted to drilling one in. It was also kinda tough to remove the ashtray, you had to pry it off with a screwdriver. Overall, it works very well!

Provo Beast Audio Installation man i did it and it wouldn't go back. I had to unscrew all that shit just to unplug it and plug it back. Now i just leave it on aux smh

note for units labeled aux/satellite the plug faces the back mot the bottom, so plan on a lil metal bending or finger squeezing to sneak it in.

I have an 07 Accord. I had some challenges with the video as the plug was not in the same place and not easily accessible. After some time of trouble shooting I came to realize my Accord had factory XM Radio, so I had to remove XM plug to install Aux plug (or get different converter). The plug goes into rear of radio so is very hard to get to without pulling the radio.

i unscrewed and took out everything but when it got down to the last step, i literally did not know how to take out the center console department thing, so i squeezed my hand through the cracks at the top and managed to plug it in somehow 😭😭 it works though so i did it

Provobeast, thank you, I was about to buy an entire new stereo and waste a ton of money but I found this video at almost 1 am and man this just made my week so much better. I will be doing this, this week. Thank you SO much. I have one question though, I have the 6-cd thing, but do not ever use CD’s. For this aux adapter to work, do I NEED a Y-adapter?

If you don't care to retain the 6 CD changer, then no, you will not need the Y adapter.

i got mine, seems to have the common issue of working once and then needing to be plugged back in... ballache. the device has a blue LED on it, which won't go out so this might be responsible, device still thinks it is connected like the first time and not turning off which may cause damage to itself... yet to see if disconnecting battery would be a quicker fix...

I winded up gradually appealing pressure until it “popped” out of the socket. I still damaged some of the “clips” . The cover still fits securely and firmly with some of the clips being damaged. Im sure there is a proper way to go about this. I was just impatient. Best of luck to you!

Me too. When I installed this device into my 2005 Honda Accord, it worked perfectly fine. The next day I would push my CD/AUX/XM button and it wouldn’t work. Funny thing is, i plugged the aux into my phone and played music, and my phone wants to play it through the device, but obviously my car is not letting me. Any fix?

Sam Poulis yeah, in the back of the metal piece you should see a white plug. That goes the XM radio. You have to unplug that and then you can put the AUX plug in. It’s hard to do but it’s possible

Just installed it yesterday took me a total of 30minutes. It worked perfectly fine until today...im having trouble with the radio switching to aux. It totally stopped, it won't even let me switch to cd. Anyone know why???

Vemisery I managed to find a trick..if you press on the CD button on the steering wheel a couple of times, it changes it to AUX. Don't know if it will work for you but I hope it does! Let me know..

What to do if you successfully install this but it still doesn’t work to play music? I had to replace my previous cord so I know how to use it but for some reason it’s not working. Do you think it would be a wiring issue or something?

Hi, Thanks for the video. Mine is a 2004 Honda Accord, radio with the 6 disk changer, does it mean I need the Y-Adapter as you had mentioned above. And please let me know where did you get the AUX/USB integrated kit from? thank you

Integration kit was ordered from Amazon. If you have the 6 cd changer separate from the radio or have a satellite radio module, that port will not be empty like in the video. You will need a y splitter so that you do not lose that functionality. If you don't care to lose the use of a separate cd changer, no y splitter is needed.

Just tuck it away behind the compartment. You can also zip tie it in place if needed.

Mine looked nothing like that and I have a 2006 Honda Accord I tried to expose the little white plug in and it went pop and Now my radio is not working anymore.

Hello, I have installed the exact same adapter in my car and it is working great. However, in other videos, people are able to skip songs and play the next song on a playlist using the controls on the dash and steering wheel. What can I do to be able to do this? Thanks.

this isn’t a negative comment!! but after doing this my panel stop closing properly! it isn’t anything crazy but i’d like to know if there’s a quick fix or anything? it like doesn’t spring close and doesn’t spring up unless i flick it up

Thanks for the super helpful guide. Got mine plugged in after about 15 minutes, however there is a noticeable amount of static noise while using the aux. Do you know how to fix this?

Its a cheap module, so you can try using a ground loop isoloator which may help some.

Thanks for the time it takes to help. I bought it and the y adapter installed it and the xm still works and my original cd and aux buttons still do exactly the same things there is no third option. I guess the Honda does not recognize it? also does yours light up? there is a spot on the top in the yellow sticker that looks like an LED is supposed to shine, but nothing lights up... bad module?

Your information about this type of stereo I have a 2006 they are not compatible with the adapter you say it's actually 2004 model that's compatible stereo wise

But to take off the plastics panels. When u move ur shifter all the way down. Theres now way to turn ur key all the way off. So power is still getting to everything. I noticed that when I had mine apart to wrap the plastic. Or were u able to turn ur key all the way off?

Yes, either use the shift lock override, or alternatively you can pull the negative off the battery.
