2003-2008 Honda Pilot Engine Oil & Filter Replacement 

Now on a lighter note. What the hell is with the thumbs down on this video. I've been working on vehicles over fifty years and this video was very good. It's an oil and filter change. This guy Leek takes his time probably out of a busy life to show people how to do something to save some money and these people give a thumbs down. Could someone please tell me what was wrong with this educational video. Say thank you to the man.

Excellent video.Clean voice that I could understand. Nice close ups with the camera and no crappy music in the background so people can concentrate on what you were saying and doing. Just a suggestion for people to know. I use a plastic bread bag around the filter while removing it. Oil and filter drop right in the bag less of a mess. I always get a large piece of cardboard from the trash to put under the vehicle when doing oil and filter changes no spots in the driveway. Wife would get pissed. You can use some WD-40 or any light spray oil on those head lights to make them nice an shiny. Spray it on then rubber it off with a shop cloth. Do that once in a while.

Always recommend to replace that drain plug washer. It’s not only to help prevent oil leakage. It’s main job is to prevent damage to the oil pan threads. It’s called a crush washer for a reason. When it’s new and you tighten down on the plug the washer will be crushed/damaged. When you don’t have a new washer or use the same one over and over, to get the same level of tightening on the drain plug, you’ll begin to pull on the oil pan threads. Eventually they become those threads damaged so that they strip and then you gotta replace the whole damn oil pan. A new crush washer each time you take that plug off is super cheap insurance to ensure the pan stays good.

As you get older you need more light! When I do a job I have lights everywhere. It's embarrassing. Your working in a cramped space but you make the best of it and that's cool. You make it happen Leek.

Connect a pice of a water hose about 20 inches to the bottom of the funnel pice and that makes it much easier when poring the oil spilling days are over hope that helps bin going that for many years God bless
