In this video I will show you how I removed my rear door glass, quarter glass, and door lock actuator from my 2006 Toyota Corolla. this process should be the same for all 2003 through 2008 Corolla rear doors both left and right. I am in no way, shape, or form responsible if you break, injure, and/or damage anything while working on your project.

My right rear door on my camry looks very similar to the corolla. Purchased a used door but the regulator plug was different from the harness plug. Got one with the correct plug on the motor to match the harness plug but when installing the new one, I can not get 3 of the 4 bolts to line up. With the glass disconnected and the rubber seal and track removed and the plug boot in the larger hole and with one bolt loosely holding it in place, the others do not line up. Looks as if they need to be rotated about 1/2" to line up. The mechanism will not turn any further. The glass was in the up position when I started. Tried reinstalling the original and got the same results. Have you run across this? Any suggestion appreciated. :) dm

Hey, I'm on the step where the window regulator is removed but i can't wiggle the window out. There is very little play. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I can move the window up and down but can't turn it at all. The metal bar stops me from doing so

@@TheInteriorAutoMechanic I figured it out. You have to remove the rubber window seal and then was able to get the pillar out. Then the window comes out eZ

@@TheInteriorAutoMechanic all that work to change a lock actuator. Have to remove two windows, a pillar, window regulator, window rubber seals and all that trim.

Is there a way to replace the tiny window of the door without removing the door panel? We just bought the car, but it's missing the tiny window. The guy we bought the car from gave me the little triangular glass & casing. We just don't know how to fix it. Please help anyone who knows. Can't afford the tools at the moment if we can get by.

Happy to help! You will need to remove the door panel HOWEVER you don't need all that many tools to do this. Basic tools like a flat head screwdriver, phillips head screwdriver, ratchet and a 10mm socket should get the job done. Any basic cheap tool set (less than $15) should have these tools in it. If you do not have the money to spare you may be able to go to your local AutoZone and borrow the tools and use them in their parking lot. It isn't a hard job to replace the glass just take your time and watch out for broken glass. Hope this helps! Please consider liking the video and subscribing to the channel :)

Literally the only part we’re stuck on is that screw at the top where you just picked it out with easy! Ours is stuck and we’re afraid of stripping it!

@@stevenumana9034 No problem at all! Grab a magnet after you've loosened it some and put it on top of the screw and see if you can pull it out that way.

@@stevenumana9034 If it's not moving you haven't stripped it. Do this. Make sure your screwdriver fits the screw perfectly (there are different Phillips head bits) take a hammer and tap the top of the handle of the screwdriver a couple of times then try to turn it.
