I've had the 97 manual GT/B for close to 10 years and around a track are horrible compared to an e tune with the turbo staging but daily driving it's very refined and when pushed hard they are an animal!
Beautiful s edition man. In nz there are literally truck loads of em. Both auto and manual. Can confirm that the actuator is for a valve in the rear muffler that opens up when you get into secondary turbo later on in the rev range, very rare to see it still in the car because it’s always cut and replaced with an after market big bore axle back. But I’m saying that. S edition had a lot of goodies from factory, sti 4 pot front callipers, wheels like you mentioned, lsd front diff, sti quicker ratio steering rack, black out interior, and the paint which was only available for a edition models. Would love one next to my bg5 Gen 2 gtb limited man such a beauty
5:05 it’s an actuator for the fm antennae. Notice that the actuator is only activated upon turning on or turning off the vehicle. And if you look at the antennae you’ll see it goes up and down respectively
It's exhaust Related, I have the same car antenna is integrated into the rear window. Can also hear it being activated when you pass 3k rpm and close again when dip below
@IRZ09xX probably on the 97 yeah, mines and this one is an 2003 watch the video back and see if you can see the antenna because it doesn't have one like the older model it's integrated into the rear window.
@@IRZ09xX Interesting to know about the antenna but as @ImElliot97 said it is definitely exhaust related as the actuator had a cable that runs down to the exhaust were a valve is located.
This car was up for sale by a scammer who stole images from you, looks to have been screenshots from your video. Was about 2 months ago, it was 5k on marketplace 🤣 Beautiful example.
Yes we did see that, we had it reported and removed. It is safely in the new owners hands and she is taking amazing care of it. Thanks for the comment.
