Replacement of air intake parts. Rubber boots, O-ring replacement, etc.
Took motorcycle to the mechanic and they had to replace the carburetor. The hole for the air-fuel mixture screw was bored too big and possibly cracked by the previous owner as he may have used a screw bigger than it was supposed to handle.
After carb replacement, motorcycle ran like new.

Oh wow. Glad to help. I may not know at all but if you have any questions,I'm more than happy to try to help. It turned out to be my air/fuel mixture screw hole. It was bored by the previous owner and I had to replace the carb.

I just bought an 06... after a week I took it for a run for a couple hours and it ran great. I came home and had supper, adjusted the shifter height and a mirror, Then took it for another drive. Went a few hundred feet, Leaving the stop sign onto the main road I opened it up and bogged and kept bogging when i open the throttle It seems to run like yours and it was sudden. (Apparently had the carbs rebuilt from sitting) 9600 kilometers on the bike. I have a carb kit coming and will check the fuel pump tomorrow. Do you have any other ideas for me? BTW ... That is a good trick to put a towel on the Intake. Thanks for Posting this !!!!

@ThoseThousandHills-kr8mb Funny enough that you bring this up. Something similar happened to me again not too long ago. Not sure if I posted the comment here but had to get the carb replaced as the fuel/air mixture screw hole was bored by the previous owner. Not too long ago I went for a ride and it started to bog down when I was going 50 ish MPH, 80 kmph in case that helps, and it bogged down on me. Took it to my local mechanic and it was the whole fuel line, and fuel pump. Fuel line was the main culprit this time. Fuel line and carb just needed a bit better cleaning. After which it ran better than before.

@ThoseThousandHills-kr8mb worse case scenario your fuel pump maybe failing. It was running perfectly fine but after your supper it bogged down. No way that it could have gotten dirty that quick after one ride.... OH, what if you ran out of gas or even your fuel valve/pet cock got something stuck to it. Have you checked if it ran on regular or reserve on the fuel valve? Or maybe replace fuel as you may have water in it. That's also another possibility. Sorry, just throwing at you all the ideas I have boss.

@@EliPop I didnt think of a bad fuel line. That could make sense to and it may not show just popping the line off and letting it run out for a fuel pump test. Good stuff you are getting the wheels rolling for me...thanks
