Very good video bro, going right at it tomorrow, it’s going to easier after watching you getting it done have my torch ready thanks for taking the time to record and teaching other people 😊
Appreciate the positive feedback. Take your time and go slow. I thought it was an impossible job but after the dealership wanted over $1000 for labor only I was motivated. I thought the pulley on the power steering would need a puller but it comes right off easily. Just heat up them bolts. I broke one thinking I was ok. I heated all the rest. Let me know how it goes. Thank again for the feedback
@@jakemir wow dealer wanted 1000 just for labor!! That’s insane. I was just quoted 675 out the door at Toyota of Cleveland. But I’m still here seeing it I wanna tackle this job myself. Thanks for the video.
@@alexg3204 it’s not bad just time consuming. I am glad I used heat because I only broke one bolt and it was the one 10mm I didn’t think was an issue. I was still use an OEM alternator so you never have to do it again. I only removed the alternator pulley and it was enough to reach the bolts
I was able to get mine out the bottom without removing the sway bar. Instead I unbolted most of the hose brackets and moved the hoses out of the way. Wasn’t easy but it’s possible probably took similar time as well. Thanks for the video
I like that you gave us a very detailed real experience with a rusty car. Might not be the video for me bc it’s way too long but I do like how real it is! Try doing some cuts perhaps, might take your time down and your views up!
I do not edit most of my videos. I just make a recording with my phone and stitch them all together. I try to add chapters. I do not plan to monetize, I just want to try and help others. I am amazed at other RU-vid videos and just don’t have the time to spend editing. I really appreciate the feedback!
@@jakemir I ended up having a hard time getting one bolt back in in the sway bar bracket and to the chassis even after lowering the vehicle back down with the wheels on.
27060-50320-84 from the dealership $278 but I ordered online and picked it up locally. Toyota dealers discount their parts on Toyota website parts.suburbantoyotaoffarmingtonhills.com/
