Love this video!? check out my new video on how to finish your project car! The best tips! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ua5Evi061vQ.html
I owned this car in silver for 8 years, i got it at 64K miles and ran it to 206k miles. Absolutely my favorite daily. Wish i never got rid of it, i sold it and got a 435i coupe and realized quickly, speed is not everything and im more of a 4 door luxury kind of guy. So ironically i put that 435 up for sale and totaled it the very next day. Insurance came in clutch and i bought an F10 535i with literally every option. All in all i wish i kept that 525i for sentimental reasons. I will buy another one day and restore it for a reliable gentleman's cruiser.
I paid $10,500 AUD for my E60, was sold to me as "a mechanically A1 car". Have since spent $6500 AUD fixing it. Things like head and valve gaskets, an entire new cooling system, new coils and plugs, the list goes on and its at 138,000kms. But a year later i can honestly still sit here and say that no matter what that car does to me, ill still love it and ill still pay stupid amounts of money to keep it as my daily. Literally the only downside to the car that i can find is mine doesnt have Bluetooth or Aux as its the same 04 model as yours. Love the video man keep it up!
That's crazy but I definitely understand! I feel the same way with mine! Absolutely love the car and the driving experience and I'm glad to hear you'll continue on with it! Thanks alot, I definitely will!😁
Hey man....Next year I am looking forward to purchase an e60 525i or an e46 sedan... when I turn 18 years old..but I really want the e60 525i or 523i...do you recommend it to me as a good first car?.. Are they a good car..is the maintenance expensive and do we get many problems..and what about the engine? I would really like your recommendation man.thanks
The e60 is a really great and advanced car that was soooo ahead of it's time, and now it's going really cheap ! In my opinion they're really great reliable cars as long as you do it's proper maintenance on it. However if your not going to be repairing and doing your own maintenance on these cars I don't recommend buying these cause they're very expensive if you try to take them to mechanics for repairs it's a car that's perfect if you strive to learn and do all the work itself. That being said the best E60's to get are the ones 2006 and up! They are the revised E60's that Dont have alot of issues the previous e60s had , anything 2005 and under can suffers from some common electrical issues that sometimes occur if the owner didnt fix any of the issues but honestly like I said the best ones are 2006 and up! Better engines, revised issues, cooler features and etc. The e60 is a kinda intermediate car to get into and not as easy and Toyota or Honda which is usually what us younger ppl get into but like I said if your determined and really love and want this car than with enough hard work it'll pay off!. It just may be tough as a 1st car if the car has issues you already need to address and all I highly recommend the 525i or even 530i I own the 2005 bmw 525i with the m54 engine that's very reliable and these engine parts are alot cheap than the newer E60's that are 2006 and up. They're really fun, smooth great cars to get and I truly enjoy them! I daily it to work everyday and honestly although German cars are annoying to work on BMW is the best German car to work on, it's easier and more simpler and smarter than the others. I hope this helps! If you have any more questions let me know or even message me on Instagram at @tuned4spd The best
Don't know what how the E46 goes but I'd imagine it's alot cheaper but definitely the E60's the best ! It handles amazing, great power and all the luxury and smoothness so regardless of if you go e60 or E46 these bmws are made really great
I have a 2006 e60. they have a bigger 3.0 Inline 6 with 218 HP. I bought mine a little over a year ago for $7500. 120,000 miles. It was well taken care of and I have had no problems yet. My advice is if you buy one , do some basic maintenance like oil change, a light tune-up first. It may not be the fastest car but I am happy with the performance and there is nothing like the drive of a BMW.
