The iDrive system probably doesn't work because it's the 2007+ version that isn't meant for the 2003-06 models. These are nice cars, we have the 525xi, which is the AWD version using BMW's xDrive system. Awesome review! :)

i got mine many many years ago and i can tell u that NEVER BROKE DOWN UNTIL NOW....240000 miles and still runs like new......M54 best BMW engine that u can find in the world....

@@LuisSantos-pt9ud you said until now. What actually broke on it? How long do the transmission last for that car?

@@shanedwood what I want to say is ...until now ..like the actual moment, the car still running like hell and still been a pretty good amazing car...but...just the 2005 with the M54 engine on it...I see other years just blew up... Zf is the transmission on this car and they are solid builds..same with the M54 engine...

Hello guys...Next year I'll turn 18 ans I'm looking forward to purchase my first car. Which one do you recommend me a e46(not m3) or the e60 525i I like the e60 525i more. Do you recommend me buying the 525i for my first car..I'm not a rich guy which can pay expensive maintenance or...Give me your experience with the car and let me know if it's a good car. Tnks

If you're not willing to pay for the maintenance then don't buy a BMW. Both E46 and E60 are expensive to run. I'm dumping my whole salary into my E90 but thanks to that it's really the ultimate driving machine
