Here some data do not agree, the 1.4 HDI engine with 1398 cm3 has 68 Hp, and the maximum speed is 168 km/h. Excellent video, and excellent Peugeot engine 1.4 HDI...
La vidéo est saisissante, ça nous a permis d'avoir un aperçu sur le fonctionnement de la 206 moi personnellement j'ai envie d'en avoir une. elle est cool et chic et faite pour un jeune qui débute
I also have a 2004 Peugeot 206 with HDi, but the 1.6 version. I like this car - 110hp is enough for a small vehicle like this, average fuel consumption is 4,7l/100km which is something amazing. It's also great in handling, I can take corners pretty fast, but only on smooth roads - on bumpy ones 206 becomes kinda "nervous". The chassis clearence on front is very low so you gotta be careful.
Yeah, 206 is great to drive as long as it's powerful enough. I had a 1.4 8v petrol and it was a bit too slow but otherwise a great first car. I would really love a GTI or even RC model Switched it to a 407 V6 coupe and it's on a completely different level because it's really heavy and the V6 is really nice but I do miss the 206, I didn't sell it because they're so cheap so I just keep the 206 in the garage for now
Got a 206 with the 1.4 HDI. Nippy off the mark (including wheelspin if you wish) to about 30mph/50kph. Joining highways/motorways slip roads take a bit longer than I'm used too but it's okayish and once you are at those higher speeds, it handles it well with good elasticity for changing lanes. 0-100kph is more like 14 secs (not sure how this one did 19?) Mostly reliable (engine always reliable, rest of the car that suffers the issues lol) and very economical too. (4 to 6l per 100km) Would recommend to get this car remapped to 95hp and 200nm of torque as would make it much better car (plus 10/11 sec 0-100kph) and the same power and torque as the standard 2.0hdi but with better fuel efficiency (and cheaper annual car tax for me in the UK) 206 as a car, fairly spacious for it's tiny size, good handling, some body roll, doors sound tinny, suffers with some common issues such as rear axle but overall a cheap little fun car to own
Diesels like someone changing gears earlier than a petrol to accelerate using torque more. Even horsepower comes earlier. Revs don't equate to speed in diesel.
When i was looking for a new car i saw a lot of 206 and got interested in it, so here's a few pointer: The Peugeot or Citroen from that time, had some issue in the rear axle; to easily see if the car you wanna buy as it; just look from the rear if one of the two rear tire lean towards the car; if you cannot see, just put your hand between the tire and the car on the two side, if you can put your hand on one side and not the other it means the rear axle is tired or dead. Also to change a shock absorber on those car you need to put down the rear axle and the exhaust pipe, just a thing to keep in mind. the 1.4HDi is great but be aware that the 1.9HDi is what we call '' a cow '' it hasn't a great lot of power but it's somewhat more reliable in term of engine, also the injector has some issue if i recall on some 206... Another thing to note i saw on the 206 it seems that the right front fender or the left front fender has a tendency to get bump; i think every 206 i saw in my life has it, it's some sort of Peugeot ritual i guess.. Also the 206 is kinda playful to the rear; just be careful with her, don't end up ending as a mashed patato against a tree... and again be aware that car from that era ( 1998 to 2006) can have some electrical issue, i mean it's kinda of a dice; not everyone has issue on their electronic but the fact is that more and more electronic got put into those car; ABS, ESP, auto front light etc and those can be faulty after some time like the anti-pollution thing.
@@posterunkowytv Depends on the area you are living in bro' here in france it stopped in 2012 i think with the Renault Campus which was a clio 2 with newer front bumper, front headlight :)
