Thanks. My 08 finally had a bulb go out. As someone who used to work in an auto dealership (not tech) I heard some horror stories on some truly horrible decisions on part placements/access, but this doesn't seem so bad.
Thank you, good view of your work. What I have done in recent years is spray contact cleaner on the metal electrical prongs and the electrical prong sockets, then follow up with a light protective spray of CorrosionX light anti corrosion oil on the same.
Question: I have an '08 Scion TC, and i purchased the exact same bulb to replace one of my lowbeams. But when i removed the old bulb and tried to replace it, i noticed the plastic circular base around the bulb is smaller than the new bulbs. So the new bulb i bought doesnt fit into the bulb hole. But i had researched it and thats the bulb is said i needed for my car, so now i have no idea
Disregard, i believe my entire headlight is aftermarket which wasnt relayed to me when i bought the car. I just needed H11 bulbs, even though the "car part experts" at autozone also told me to get a 9006 bulb for it after looking at my headlight and the old bulb LOL
@@vile1636 i think I’m having a similar issue? I had to replace my headlight casing so I ordered two new ones. The new casing has larger “key holes” so to say than the last one, so when I stick the original bulb in, it can’t lock into place because the bulbs “key edges” are significantly smaller. Think I need to replace the bulbs to fit the new headlights? Are these the wrong headlights even though they seem identical besides that one thing?
