No need to chance spark plugs and coil pack. The misfire or not starting was due to spark provided by Ignition coil to spark plugs runs to Grounds or negative. If the rubber of ignition coil connected to spark plugs can be clean using several kind additives then you can save a lot of money. Chance the valved cover rubber gasket first and clean the oil in the system.
Our 2005 chevy Aveo stalled on the side of the road wouldn't restart towed it home son and i pulled the back seat checked the fuel pump with voltage meter and it appears to be working so.pulled a spark plug tto check those. Full of oil an inch up the boot. Drained oil to check for metal filings found none. So son Just changed valve cover gasket put in new wires and spark plugs putting in new oil today and hoping it fires up and runs
also it give me the codes for throttle acuator ,when i replaced it no more code but your video is telling me valve cover gasket is letting oil in and killing plugs right?
The code for the throttle actuator is a separate issue. You need to check the wiring diagram for the throttle actuator and see where the break is. Or if you replaced the actuator, clear the codes and see if you can relearn it using a scan tool. As far as the oil in the spark plug wells, it cannot be in there. It'll prevent the plugs from firing and can cause a no start
so please tell me i have changed coil pack throttle acuator on my 2006 chevy aveo and will crank if i spray starting fluid in it but otherwise no and i can tell im getting gas , but when i changed plugs i noticed oil everywhere on them like in your video here ,so now im thinking vavle cover gasket is the problem ?
Hello. I can't remember how that engine is set up since it was a long time ago when I did the repair. But you must make sure to change the valve cover gasket and to make sure that the spark plugs are free of oil
