I just started doing the same rear conversion, but I noticed that once the rotor is installed, it still doesn't cover the entirety of the parking brake. Did you have the same issure? It kind of looks like it in your video but figured I'd ask anyhow.
I didn't even notice it if so. I just installed the spacers and sent it. I'm removing the control arms right now, if I end up removing them due to the extra weight I'll check.
How much of the brake shoe thing are you covering? You got the spacers behind the dust shield? Believe it or not I kinda forgot how the whole thing went together until watching part 4. I'll check it next time I'm at the shop
@@79EFIZ28 weird. I couldn't say how much mine covers, but given how close the rotor is to the dust shield I'm not even sure how I could even see it to determine how much. I'll at least see if I can see in there next time I go over there.
@@evsnova74 So I've gotten back to tackling this project, since I had some delays since I couldn't seem to get a plain rotor and vendors kept shipping me drilled ones in boxes that say plain... anyhow, I did some measurements and found that the parking brake shoe material is 1 inch wide, and approximately 1/4 inch was still not covered by the new rotor. I did minimize this a little bit by adding some .070 thick stainless washers to the extension brackets, so now its only off by .180. I think I could have taken more out but that was the thickest washer I had.
