I changed the vacuum pump on mine during the pandemic. Tight working but it cleared a check engine light i'd had on for over a year, and a oil leak two mechanics couldn't pinpoint. was quite proud of myself. Not the first repair i've done on the car and not theoretically hard but definitely a tight fight and tricky to get it out.
I open and clean line of fuel pump on w203 compressor bat didn't disconnect the batteri ore fuses , cut damge the fuel pump after that wen start the car it made noise bad didn't start and I check the electric line of fuel pump dont charge power on line , Is pump damange.
Fuel filter should be replaced once every year and is often the most grossly overlooked aspect of “maintenance”. A clogged fuel filter puts too much pressure back pressure on the fuel pump making the fuel pump overheat and eventually fail. I wouldn’t know why anyone would want to just replace the fuel pump without the cause of the fuel pump being damaged being also replaced at the same time or at least the issue addressed properly.
I replace the fuel filter every 30k…..the reason we replaced fuel pump is because it’s 17 years old and also because sending unit level comes as part of replacement unit (that was our real issue ) Rather than just try to replace sender we opted to replace pump while in There..Yearly fuel filter changes are unheard of but knock your self out if you like😁
