W203 Mercedes C230 fuel filter replacement 

Excelent video. This is a project I will for sure do on my c230. Thank you for taking your time to post this information.

If you have problem with engine starting after fuel filter change, try putting back the old one. I bought 2 aftermarket filters, one was Wix and other I cant remember, but it was in blue/red box. They both had problems with check valve. Wix filter didnt give any preassure to engine and the other filter had problem with valve opening to return fuel to tank.

Thanks for making this video. From what I have read, to relieve the pressure in the fuel lines, you must open the Schrader valve located in the engine compartment along the fuel rail. I noticed in your video you simply removed a fuse. I just wanted to confirm that this does in fact relieve the pressure. Thanks.

you need to run the engine after taking the fuse out and open the fuel filler cap that will depressurise the tank then close the cap again.

Thanks so much for explaining in detail how to replace the fuel filter in this video. i did just gain from it but after the video i was able to practicalized it myself. Please i have a very serious challenge with my C class w203 with a Kompressor engine. The engine is a 4cylinder engine and everything seem right but the fuel consumption is very poor. i have checked the spark plug and the surface was of and i have also from time to time check the exhaust for any black smoke trace and i have never noticed such. Please sir, what do you think the problem may be coming from?

If I start the engine and it stalls in 5 seconds, is it a clogged fuel filter or something more expensive?

I have c180 2006 and some people says it hasn't fuel filter the filter input fuel pump what would you think?

You never showed how to remove clamps how do you remove clamps with out damaging pump

Great video and very nice car! Did you relieve fuel pressure by starting the car after removing the fuel pump fuse? That would save a lot of mess.
