@@jameycockrell5481 when it was really between the parents and the a-hole agent...the prob is that the pressure on Bush to give it back was BS...then when he did...the Heisman House took it as culpability and refuses to give back??? How old are we here?? 7?? NAH because if we were young...we'd be more forgiving...they're just dicks..
The 2004 USC Trojans are all-time. I know 95 Nebraska and 2001 Miami get most of the love from that era, but 2004 USC was badass. They were stacked at every position and Reggie Bush was the ultimate X factor. They just destroyed a really good OU team. At one point, it was 55-10 before the rest of the 4th quarter being "garbage time." I am not even a USC fan but I really enjoyed watching this team play especially Reggie Bush. He was electrifying!!🌩
This was the glory days. Thanks for making this. Need to get back to having all conferences fear the Trojans. This team should go down as one of the greatest of all time.
@@USCTrojan2013 why? Its long gone days. In case you haven't noticed nobody fears the Condoms especially the SEC. Even your Coach left his old job because he is afraid of playing in the SEC. 🤣
Carroll was 3 times the coach as any sec coach...now or then..he won titles at highest level...Saban was a chump vs the greatest coaches in his era....he ran for his football life ...we will see how Riley does..he's young but his career has a better start than Saban so....sky's the limit...SC teams under Carroll. Robinson and McKay smoked SeC teams...bears teams ...whipped em at their house twice..stomped outb UGA. So Carl never lost to them....Florida did well against a poorly coached ted toll era coach...Ohio St..SC Bama OU ND Mich are historically. the best football schools..they all have down years...Hawaii was beating Alabama in what the90s or something..Nebraska used to just wipe every team ( except OU) it played out for years....any ways ..the sec is the best conference but the great SC squads historically kicked the shit outta that conference...look it up
@@ickystrashcan....anothersm9749 damn they mix that kool aid strong at Condom U. 🤣🤣🤣 Might wanna see what the SEC did to Riley before you toot that horn. Lmao! Riley ran off before he got more exposed. The guy is a a snake oil salesman, he fits right in at usc. Get used to U$C being a has been and never making the Playoffs. Lmao, u$c ha ha ha ha ha.
When USC football was at it's peak (03-05) they were the 2nd most popular team in So Cal, behind the Lakers and ahead of the Dodgers. People forget that they were talking about this OU team as a potential all-time great College football team, and SC just annihilated them and went ahead and inserted there names into that conversation.
No one was saying that about the 2004 OU team. They weren’t especially dominant. Plenty of close games against mediocre competition, and no real eye-popping blowouts. It was the 2003 OU team that got that hype, before Kansas St. dismantled then in the Big 12 CCG.
They would have gotten smashed if they played the Canes instead of the Noles in Miami back in 01!!! Everybody know it Santana Moss and Reggie Wayne were the starting Wrs with Jeremy Shockley as the Tight End. The defense was stacked!!!!
Greatest team in modern NCAA history...the next season lacked the secondary ( all nfl players ) this team had...lofa tatupu being underrated ..future NFL all pro ..etx
2 heisman candidates shutdown by that Cali powerhouse. I give it up to Oklahoma though because the sec’s best never wanted any part of Pete’s Trojans in bowl season 😂😂😂
@Chandler Russell I wonder why...ANYTIME you give ONE conference several BCS/Playoff checks EVERY DAMNED YEAR and nobody else...their dominance can only build that much more over every other conference...
Talk about the scheme of schemes to get SEC and ESPN on the same page?? Who was getting paid on that one??? Holy Effing Shit...ridiculous...but nobody will ever look into it nor will anyone do anything about it..
@@johnwaffleh2p70 I was shocked that they actually have 9 who knows when the F was their last one but they’re still 2 behind SC and are NOT considered a blue blood member of college football . oh yeah also SC leads the series vs Pitt 6-4 look it up dumb ass .
This USC is the ONLY team in the 21st century to go Wire-to-wire ranked #1. That is they started at #1 and ended at #1 Never relenquishing that ranking the whole season.
I understand NCAA violations but if what your in violation of doesn't affect the actually game itself or the outcome the punishment needs to be different what Tom Brady did in the NFL was clearly cheating or trying to cheat trying to get an advantage over your opponent but people don't want to acknowledge it and call him the GOAT yeah right you have to put an asterisk by his name as well in the record books.
Well the Ideal Gas Law explains perfectly how the Patriots and Colts ended up with deflated footballs. But nobody acknowledges that the Colts were also playing with deflated footballs, or how the Patriots had their balls inflated back to a legal PSI limit before the start of the 2nd half and the Patriots outscored them 28-0 in the 2nd half (final score 45-7). What also wasn't acknowledged was how not even the Wells Report could actually prove that there were any Patriots players or staff that deflated any footballs.
Lol he's not as good as you might think. OU got worse as his career with us went along. 2017 was his best year and was using Stoops' players. First qb he actually recruited was Rattler and we know how that turned out
Hahaha get ready for that defense. As an OU fan I’m glad he’s gone. Now I get to look forward to scoring 21 and knowing it’s a win. Under Riley if OU didn’t score 40-45 I was almost always on my toes.
A long time ago when USC completely embarrassed a team they said was the 2nd best team in the nation. Danny Whites multiple interceptions to Leinart's Orange Bowl record for TD passes. OU holds the worst NC defeat
Worst National Championship defeat in the BCS era. 1996 Fiesta Bowl was a bigger blowout than the 2005 Orange Bowl. Both games were pretty much unwatchable unless you're a fan of Nebraska/USC that season
This is the best team in college history. Yall remember the week to week show USC had on ESPN and for 30 minutes to an hour every Tuesday, they compared the USC team to every great team of all time and it was always unanimous that USC was better. No other team ever in college did a major network dedicate one day a week like they did for USC.
So much hype at the beginning of the 2004 CFB season and both teams went wire to wire 1-2 all season long. The feat would be repeated the following season. The 2004 Trojans could line up with anyone
My 6th Born Cousin CJ aka Steezy, also my Auntie and My Uncle's son on my Mom side was a 12th Grade Senior at Fairfield Preparatory High School in Fairfield, Alabama.
USC would have been national champions again in 2005 against Texas had Reggie Bush didn't lateral the ball. Also the refs where calling a bunch of BS defensive penalties against USC that gave Texas automatic first downs on so many occasions.
Retrospectives: In terms pass.completion percentage, Matt Leinert played a less than extraordinary game. The passes he did complete, however had devastating effects on the Sooners. I saw Adrian Peterson do a lot of East-West running, but not much North-South running. That may be attributeable to USC's linebacking corp that was very well prepared for him. Reggie Bush had a somewhat less than stellar game. He broke for two long gains that led to scores, but the Sooners never let him get away. That's a tribute to the Sooners preparation for Reggie Bush. Problem is, USC had other weapons they weren't so well prepared for. This game was a showcase Pete Carroll's defense in combination with Norm Chow's offense. It turned out to be the last game for that Carroll/Chow combo. Carroll let him go when the lights were turned off after the celebrations. The Sooners' talent showed moments of brilliance on both offense and defense. They were a better team than the score indicated. I think the Trojans were just better prepared for this game.
That wasn’t majority thought before the game. Oklahoma had so many All-Americans playing this game. They were stacked. As a USC fan I was thinking this team is going to be tough to beat. In the end, we just had more weapons on offense, and better coach, and we made less mistakes. Our lines also played better than expected imo, against a great Oklahoma offense & defensive line.Oh and we shut Peterson down.
Adrian Peterson said it himself, guys on the OU side were not locked in. Partying days before the game, meeting with agents and not focused. He said it was the first time he feel like guys gave up to USC. That’s why OU got smacked.
The ONLY year i think is a mystery (in my lifetime) of a team that didnt play for a natty was 2008 USC vs the Florida gators. Wouldve been on eof the best nattys of all time. Im an osu fan i remember usc HANDLED us.. 35-3 and im sorry but if Chokelahoma ..sorry Oklahoma plays for any bowl game they get murdered. I cant ever see them as a great team ever. So idc if they was undefeated they were not better than USC in 2008. We almost beat #3 texas in the bowl game and Chokelahoma only beat them by 10.. and usc got sexual with us. That gator offense vs the usc defense and that #2 safety that took out his own player and that penn state player 😂 and dont forget. Yes percy harvin was great but usc had someone very similar in joe McKnight who was a dawg wish we couldve seen the last great USC team with pete carol vs the start of the SEC dominance and urban myer before saban. 2 massive brands. Sheesh. We was robbed. Because of 12 year old sam Bradfords lookin self had to go undefeated. Smh. Wish the playoffs were back then. The only year it felt like the natty wasnt right.
OU fan. And o truly believe OU sucks. We always played in such a soft conference. Even with BV as a OU fan we will be the bottom of the bottom in the SEC conference. OU is done and over!
Solid defense. Great offensive lie . Heisman QB and the best running back (#2 as a frosh in Heisman voting) in the last 30 years. They were not weak at all. The game just got away from them and they mentally folded. The only problem was that Peterson didn’t really fit the offense.
@@justinjames3028 "The game just got away from them and they mentally folded" lol No USC was just better on all fascists. They could have played the game again and it would have been the same result. Not only was Oklahoma weak little girls that didn't play anyone elite before that game but your sorry ass excuses are weak.
@@jimbrown571 yes, indeed. That's what happens when mental errors are compounded with a bad match up. Complacency, bad gameplaning let SC run wild against OU much to my delight.
True freshman cb Michael Hawkins wasn't on the field left personal reasons..... he woulda held Jarrett in check and ran down Reggie Mike hawk NFL 40 time. Was. 4.28. We all know Reggie didn't run no 4.28. Sooo yes my lil bro would have changed the game outcome. I was telling him this watching this game so surreal now. His sons my nephews QB micheal Hawkins jr and CB Maliek Hawkins. Are being recruited by Ou. Hope to see the Hawks soar high for Ou. Again.
