This was my youth, there's no comparison to spikes commercials or mj...it's true u don't appreciate things until u don't have them anymore...wow was the Jordan era a great era...WOW
I remember seeing this for the first time on tv and running outside right after. Because I had to become the next Mj. Of course that didn’t happen but it was pure motivation for a 13 year old kid at the time.
If you grew up watching Michael Jordan its hard to listen to people compair Lebron to him. Jordan had a smooth game. He could dunk, shoot, play defense and had the eye of the tiger every night I watched him play. A lot of people wish they where a kid again for various reasons. My reason would be so I could ask my mom could I stay up until the game is over because Jordan is playing tonight!
Sadly the messiah will not return, guys ... he blessed us with his presence in 1984 and left us in 1993. Resurrected in 1995, and left us for good in 1998. But his Holy Spirit came back for one last time to teach us about "trying" ... GOAT
@@FallenZionx Kobe continued the MJ Legacy. Lebron lost as much as he won and fool saying he better. What a bunch of dumbasses. Best you say Elgin Baylor and Jerry West in his class.
@@adamsamuel8593Kobe’s 2013 season was the last time he was elite but my goodness what a way to go out. Dragging the lakers into the playoffs and then blowing his achilles out against the soon to be dynasty warriors. Absolutely legendary career. LeBron is a great player but what if he had stayed in cleveland this whole time? How many rings would he have? Thats whats honorable about Jordan and Kobe.
It is actually debatable, don't ask how I know this but the two major stories I have heard are that... 1. A doctor who was picking peaches for a medicine started throwing the peaches and made a game out of it with his buddies. 2. An African shepherd made it up to play in his spare time with the other villagers. At least that is as much as I know.
I can say this from watching knicks bulls in the 90's. Michael Jordan is the best athlete i will ever see. Bar none. Not only cause ive suffered him ending my knicks season year after year but there was nothing he couldnt do. He was the best.
You know whats sad? People Claim to be real basketball fans but they cant let go.. Jordan was the best not just because he could ball but because he had finness and he wore his passion for the game on his sleeve... I love MJ to death he did the impossible but that was then this is now.. Kobe Bryant to me Is the best in the games because of his finness and passion that he wears on his sleeve every game... Jordan was the best of his era but that was then and this is now Kobe earned the throne.
It's the holidays for me so I wake up at like 10:30 a.m. everyday lol and just play b-ball with my friends after breakfast and they're all tired by then
I love how people are just insulting each other. lol Well, Kobe emulates him, LeBron is an "Air Apparent" and Dwyane Wade is also being talked about. Personally? They're all good, but noone will ever compare to Michael Jordan. Michael has done what other people can only imitate.
@havemersyonem You bring up a good point. Thirty years from now, when people are talking about the 10 best basketball players who ever played the game, I think that you're gonna see Jordan, Kobe, and D-Rose on that list. Personally, I think that at the current moment, Kobe is undoutably the best player to come through the NBA since Jordan retired...
I'll give Portland a break on Oden. He was a #1 by everyone's count and he was injury free all through college. It's not like he's averaging 3 points a game.... he just has bones made of sawdust
I was a Bulls fan back when Jordan played. And still am in a sense. When Jordan left the Bulls stopped really caring about the NBA. But I'm from OKC so when we finally got a team had to rep them. I was a fan from day 1. And hope Durant can string together championships for us like Jordan did for Chicago. I have to go for the Thunder because I'm true to my home town. But if the Bulls win it all I wouldn't be upset about that either. The Bulls always have had a place in my NBA heart though.
first of all who said it was only black youth a majorety of ethnic groups look up to Jordan. they idolize him because of his greatness and what he did in the N.B.A people are inspired to succssed like him not only in sports.
some one could match all his numbers, but they'll never achieve the same amount of off court success. And that's why there will never be another Jordan.
What's so cool looking at this now is we can answer the question at the end with whoever our current favorite NBA star is. I kinda feel like LeBron saw this and decided it was him. But you could say Curry responded to that challenge too. KD? Harden? It works for whoever.
Of course it's real. It stands outside the United Center, Chicago, ILLINOIS, USA. (Not Michigan where someone said...) It's where the Chicago Bulls played at home.
