Did you permanently remove the old plastic weather material, or did you install the sound deadening material over it? Also, you mentioned the outer skin in addition to the inner skin, but you didn’t show where or how the outer skin was applied. I’m new to this, and I’m picking up some sound deadening material, so I wanted to know what you meant by that before I attempted to do it myself.
Yes we removed the plastic weather material there’s no need for any longer. We didn’t show the outer skin but we did do it it goes on the inside of the outer door...if that makes sense. Hope that helps!
@@BreakersStereo Thank you for the reply! I’m guessing you cut up the deadening material in strips for the outer skin, since there are metal like beams going across the door horizontally (I didn’t know a better way to describe it), and it would seem difficult to put the material on that.
@@BreakersStereo I tried to put some Rockford fosgate Speakers that are 75w RMS and the volume on them are extremely low cannot hear a thing unless if put my ear to it had to change back to the stock
@@BreakersStereo I changed to an aftermarket double din pioneer head unit 50w 4 this made the stock speakers sound a bit more louder than the factory one The type S comes with a factory bose system so I thought it might be enough to power them since peak is 75rms being the most it can handle I'm sure it's around 30w or something but I'm not hearing anything even when turning it up all the way I can only hear it when I put my ear next to it someone suggested that the head unit might not be giving it enough power if sound comes out but it's not loud But it's not like these are high end speakers that require an amp to play them I read reviews that people just plug and play without an amp and sounded better than the stock speakers in their car I have a sony mex-xb120bt that puts out 100w 4 I guess I can try changing out to that one
*also he could've picked up a better sub like a JBL GT-BassPro12 that comes with a pre built amp and it's pretty loud for a single sub and would sound better in a car like that since it's a hatchback*
