Driving from Chicago to South Dakota and then to Colorado, and to Chicago. Excellent handling 31 miles per gallon, traveled 2700 miles, very reliable and safe in handling. A little small the front window. I'm going to travel again, but now I'm going to drive 4,000 miles
We bought our 2011 HHR Z24 Limited Edition Brand New...it's got 110,000 original miles..it's been to Chicago & back to Tucson several times since new...it got 30+ miles per gallon on the hiways & 24 city loaded with luggage & other items..it fits four adults quite comfortably..lt's been a reliable dependable vehicle & my mechanic advised👍 me to change the oil every 3,000 miles & the engine will last at least 250,000 miles
Have a 2011...generally very good versatile, efficient, reliable, safe (for its size) vehicle with alot of space...i consider it a small SUV...BIGGEST COMPLAINT i have is the poor outward visibility with very low windshield and giant ‘A’ pillars...more than once I’ve pulled out in front of someone at a intersection because they were blocked by the giant A pillars that contain airbags.
no - i mean a tiny window gives you more roof - and thus more UV shading. if you're only 6ft (i'm 6.2") - unless you're of the long upper body short legs kinda built, just lower the seat. ...i am even raising it(!)... i have to lean forward a bit to see high hang in signals, but that doesn't bother me... i don't want any sun damage on my skin. i'm 44, but look like 25 - and that's the trick an asian model told me, NEVER let the sun hit your face. feels like being inside a tank. :)
actually, windscreens are not effective barriers of UV rays... and I actually pulled the chair almost all the way back if I remember correctly >.> i'm 6ft tall, and the car just didn't seem to be made for people above 5ft 5. the window was really so small i can't see the street signal lights the way that USA likes to hang them above ground.
Personally drive one. It's alright. And I do agree that the powerband is strong below 5000 rpm. Above that it just screams in protest. And the way they tuned the suspension makes this car have a HORRIBLE amount of body roll above 45 mph.
@Zinizzle Couldn't give you a bigger "no" on that . HHR is still continued. They are, however, stopping the SS model and limiting the panel style to the LS trim. Cruze is replacing the cobalt, yes. There also has been a concept wagon variant of the Cruze but would most likely be available only in Europe (if they even decide to make one).
@blakeroo610 unless you are talking about the color (orange and purple) then yes, they discontinued the colors. They only come in 8 colors in the 2010 linup
what the fuckkk is wrong with this guy.. maybe Chevy paid him off because I had this car as a rental for 2 days and it was freaking unbelievable. blind spots on both sides, spongy brakes, half of the rear-view mirror is just looking at the rear window pillars, and the front window was SO small i swear you can't see the lights and highway signs most of the time.
