2006 Mazda Miata MX-5 2.5 conversion - NOLA Track Day 6/9/2023 

I bought this 2006 MX-5 Miata with a bad engine. It was burning a quart of oil every 500 miles. I decided to do the engine swap with a lil help from good friends. The 2.5L engine came out of a 2016 Ford Fusion with only 16K miles. While in there, I installed a new radiator, Esslinger Stage 2 cams along with MazdaSpeed valve springs, Goodwin Racing Header/midpipe/muffler, Progress Tech sway bars, Meister R Coilovers, roll bar, Robbins soft top, Flyin Miata 17x9 wheels, Bridgestone RE-71RS tires, and much more. It was a super fun project and I'm glad it made it through this track day.
**Note: The car has a 6 speed transmission. The gear selection on the video isn't correct. I think it's just guessing because the OBD port doesn't put out that info.
